Raleigh splits along the Beltline. Inside it — Oakwood, Five Points, Hayes Barton, Boylan Heights, Mordecai — the houses are Victorians, bungalows and colonials from the 1900s–1940s, with plaster over wood lath, brick chimneys and studs that rarely sit where the TV should go. Outside it, North Raleigh and Stonehenge are 1970s and 1980s ranches and split-levels built around a brick fireplace in the den, and Brier Creek and Wakefield are newer two-stories with a bonus room over the garage. Downtown, Glenwood South and North Hills add condo towers with concrete walls and metal-stud partitions.

Durham and Cary bring their own walls. Downtown Durham's tobacco warehouses became lofts with brick a foot thick and heavy timber beams, and Chapel Hill and Carrboro are full of student rentals where nothing can stay behind at move-out. Cary grew up planned — Preston, Lochmere and Kildaire Farms, then Amberly and Green Level — and nearly every house has an HOA, a two-story family room with a stacked-stone gas fireplace and a bonus room over the garage. Apex, Holly Springs and Fuquay-Varina keep building the same house with newer paint, and the summers are humid enough that screened porches get outdoor-rated TVs and sealed cable entries.

We cover about 80 miles out from downtown Raleigh — Wake Forest, Louisburg and Henderson to the north, Durham, Chapel Hill and Burlington to the west, Cary, Apex, Pittsboro and Sanford to the southwest, Pinehurst, Fayetteville and Fort Bragg to the south, and Wilson, Rocky Mount and Goldsboro to the east — with no travel fee anywhere in that circle and same-day slots seven days a week. Durham and Cary each have their own city page with the local details.

Building paperwork is our job, not yours

Downtown, Glenwood South and North Hills condo buildings usually ask for a certificate of insurance naming the association and a reserved service elevator; we issue the COI and book the elevator ourselves. Cary runs on HOAs — Preston, Lochmere, MacGregor Downs and the newer communities in Apex, Holly Springs and Chatham Park all have architectural review, and a patio TV or conduit visible from the street can need approval first. Indoor mounting never does; send us the rules and we mount to them. Student leases in Chapel Hill and Durham get studs only and a removable raceway.

  • Certificate of insurance naming your association, usually same day
  • Service elevator and loading dock booked by us
  • Background-checked, uniformed technicians
  • Drop cloths down, dust vacuumed, packaging taken away

★★★★★

“Old house, plaster walls and studs nowhere near where we wanted the TV. Yaroslav found them with test holes, used a wide mount and there isn't a crack anywhere. Neat and on time.”

“Brick wall in a converted tobacco-warehouse loft. Danylo drilled into the brick, not the mortar, ran the cable in a raceway painted to match and it looks like it came with the building.”

“Two-story family room in Preston and the TV had to go over the stone fireplace. Tymofii suggested a pull-down mount so we are not staring at the ceiling, found solid anchoring and hid every wire.”

The walls we actually find in Raleigh

Different market, different walls. The hardware changes with the wall; the result does not.

Plaster and brick chimneys inside the Beltline

Oakwood, Five Points, Hayes Barton, Boylan Heights. Plaster over lath cracks if you drill it like drywall: we score it, drill slowly and confirm each stud before the mount carries weight.

Tobacco-warehouse lofts in downtown Durham

Brick a foot thick and heavy timber beams. Masonry bits and sleeve anchors into the brick or lag bolts into the timber, and the cable runs in a slim raceway because the brick is the whole look.

Stacked stone over two-story fireplaces

The classic Cary and Apex family room — and the brick version in North Raleigh dens. We check the heat and the height, anchor into solid masonry or the studs beside it, and use a pull-down mount when the natural spot is too high to watch comfortably.

Concrete in downtown and North Hills towers

Rotary hammer into concrete, snap-toggles into steel studs, and the building's insurance paperwork and service elevator booked before we arrive.

Screened porches and golf-course lanais

Outdoor-rated screens, stainless hardware and a sealed cable entry — on Wake Forest screened porches that see afternoon thunderstorms all summer and on Pinehurst lanais angled away from the fairway glare.

TV mounting in Raleigh — questions we get

Still unsure? Call (877) 676-8880 — a person answers, 8am–8pm.

Can you mount a TV on plaster in Oakwood or Five Points?
Yes — plaster over lath is normal inside the Beltline. We confirm each stud with a small test hole, drill slowly so the plaster does not crack, and use a wide mount when the studs do not line up with where the TV should go.
Can you mount a TV over a fireplace in North Raleigh or Cary?
Usually yes — it is the most common job we do here. North Raleigh dens have brick fireplaces, Cary and Apex family rooms have two-story stacked stone. We check how hot the wall gets above the firebox, anchor into solid masonry — never the mortar joints alone — or the studs beside it, and suggest a pull-down mount when the natural spot is too high.
Are Durham, Cary and Chapel Hill the same price as Raleigh?
Yes. Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Apex, Wake Forest and even Pinehurst, Fayetteville and Rocky Mount cost what North Hills costs — no travel fee anywhere inside the service area, which reaches about 80 miles out from downtown Raleigh.
I rent near UNC or Duke — can I get a TV mounted?
Usually yes, with the landlord's okay. We mount into studs only, run the cables in a removable raceway and can patch the holes at move-out so the deposit is safe.
How fast can you get to my side of the Triangle?
Usually same-day or next-day, seven days a week, 8am–8pm. Crews start from North Raleigh, Durham, west Cary and Garner, so Wake Forest, Chapel Hill, Apex and Clayton get the same windows as downtown. Pick a time in the calculator and we confirm by text.
