Utah builds for big families, and that means at least two TV walls per house: the great room upstairs, usually with a vaulted ceiling and a stone gas fireplace, and a finished basement downstairs that turns into a family room or a home theater. Basement walls are framed in front of the concrete foundation, so the studs are there — but the cables have to find their way around a concrete wall, and we plan that before we drill.

The older city is different. Homes in the Avenues and Sugar House are 1900s–1940s brick bungalows and cottages with plaster applied straight onto the brick or over lath, which means masonry anchors instead of lag bolts. And the whole valley sits on the Wasatch Fault — the 2020 Magna earthquake was a reminder — so every articulating arm we hang gets a safety strap and every mount goes into studs or masonry, never into drywall alone.

We cover about 80 miles out from downtown — Layton and Ogden to the north, Lehi, Orem and Provo to the south, Tooele to the west and Park City and the Heber Valley up the canyon — with no travel fee anywhere in that circle and same-day slots seven days a week.

Building paperwork is our job, not yours

Downtown and Sugar House condo buildings usually want a certificate of insurance naming the association and a reserved elevator, and we handle both. Park City and Deer Valley condos add parking passes and quiet hours, and many are nightly rentals — we can work between check-out and check-in with a lockbox code. Planned communities like Daybreak, Traverse Mountain and Suncrest mostly care about exterior changes, so an outdoor TV visible from the street may need approval first.

  • Certificate of insurance naming your association, usually same day
  • Service elevator and loading dock booked by us
  • Background-checked, uniformed technicians
  • Drop cloths down, dust vacuumed, packaging taken away

“85" in our basement theater and the cables had to get around the concrete. Anton ran everything through the framing, mounted the soundbar and cleaned up after. Exactly the quoted price.”

The walls we actually find in Salt Lake City

Different market, different walls. The hardware changes with the wall; the result does not.

Finished basements over a concrete foundation

The Utah family room and home theater. Studs are framed in front of the foundation wall, so the mount goes into wood — and the cables are routed through the framing cavity, not the concrete behind it.

Stone fireplaces in vaulted great rooms

Tall walls and a stone gas fireplace in almost every new build. We anchor into the stone or the framing behind it, check the heat above the firebox and set the height so nobody watches with their head tipped back.

Plaster over brick in the Avenues and Sugar House

Older homes have plaster straight on brick or over lath. Masonry bits and sleeve anchors for brick, slow drilling and a stud check for lath — no cracks either way.

Mounting for the Wasatch Fault

The Wasatch Fault runs under the valley. Mounts go into studs or masonry with hardware rated well above the TV, and every articulating arm gets a safety strap.

Covered patios through snow and summer sun

Outdoor-rated screens that handle freezing nights and hot, dry afternoons, stainless hardware and a sealed cable entry under a solid cover.

TV mounting in Salt Lake City — questions we get

Still unsure? Call (877) 676-8880 — a person answers, 8am–8pm.

Are wall-mounted TVs safe in a Utah earthquake?
Mounted properly, yes. We go into studs or masonry with hardware rated well above the TV's weight, never into drywall alone, and every articulating arm gets a safety strap so the screen cannot swing off the wall in a quake.
Can you set up a TV in a Utah basement family room?
Yes — basement theaters and family rooms are half of what we do here. Basement walls are framed in front of the concrete, so the mount goes into studs; we route the cables through the framing and can hide a soundbar or run wires to a media closet.
Are Park City, Provo and Ogden the same price as Salt Lake City?
Yes. Park City, Heber, Lehi, Orem, Provo, Layton and Ogden all cost what downtown costs — no travel fee anywhere inside the service area, which reaches about 80 miles out from Salt Lake City.
Can you mount a TV on plaster over brick in an older Salt Lake home?
Yes. We confirm what is behind the plaster first — brick takes masonry anchors, lath takes a stud — drill slowly so the plaster does not crack and patch any test holes.
How fast can you get to my part of the Wasatch Front?
Usually same-day or next-day, seven days a week, 8am–8pm. Crews start from the south valley and Davis County, so Lehi, Layton and Park City get the same windows as downtown. Pick a time in the calculator and we confirm by text.
