Provo homes split two ways: rented apartments within a short walk of BYU, and owner-occupied brick houses from Joaquin and Maeser out to Edgemont. Borys works Provo on his Utah County days with masonry bits and painted raceway. Two in three requests sent before noon get a same-day slot at a flat price.
TV mounting in Provo is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for brick or concrete.
Historic homes in Joaquin and Maeser have plaster on brick or over lath. Brick gets masonry anchors in solid faces; lath gets a stud check and slow drilling. Studs behind plaster.
Edgemont and other family neighborhoods have brick fireplace walls and finished basements. Masonry anchors upstairs, studs downstairs, cables inside where the wall allows ($69). Brick vs. veneer.
BYU-approved housing often limits holes. When yours doesn't allow them, we set up a floor stand or no-drill option; when it does, a small fixed mount ($39) and a removable raceway. No-drill options.
Older homes have tiled or brick fireplaces with high mantels. We check the heat and the viewing height; a tilting mount ($49) keeps a high TV comfortable. TVs over fireplaces.
35,944 homes and about 114,766 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.

U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020–2024 5-year estimates: year built, units in structure, tenure.
With 60.6% of Provo homes rented, the first question on most jobs is what the lease allows, not where the studs are, and more than half of our cable jobs here end in raceway. The 1983 median year built hides an older core: 18.7% of homes predate 1960, and between campus and downtown that usually means solid brick behind plaster, so for those front rooms we bring masonry bits, not drywall anchors.
The East Central Historic District runs ten blocks from 500 North to 500 South, and 81 percent of its contributing buildings are brick. Most date from about 1900 to 1925, so the TV wall in a Joaquin or Maeser front room is usually plaster laid straight onto masonry. There is no stud bay to fish a wire through, which is why 9 of our 17 Provo cable jobs ended in raceway. The oldest houses, from the 1860s to the 1890s, add a twist: soft-fired brick or adobe, later covered in stucco that hides how soft they are. When a test hole crumbles there, we move the mount to a framed partition beside the chimney. Sound brick takes masonry anchors set in solid units, never in the mortar joints between them. Painted raceway concealment from the TV to the outlet runs $39.

Single BYU undergraduates have to live in university-contracted housing within about two miles of campus, so much of the rental stock near the hill changes tenants between semesters. Leases differ by complex: some accept a mount's own holes, some accept none. Send us the clause with your request and Borys will say what fits before he drives down from Lehi. When holes are permitted, he keeps to the studs and runs a slim raceway that lifts off cleanly. When the lease ends, a dismount is $49, and we can hang the same TV at your next address, even across the line in Orem. Landlords of duplexes and fourplexes, which make up much of the 15.8% of homes in small multi-unit buildings, can book several units in a single visit. Our height tool suggests the right screen height before we arrive.

It still burns wood on allowed days, so after a heat check Borys went higher on tilt and flagged vent cleaning.

The lease allowed only the mount's holes, so Borys ran a slim raceway that lifts off at move-out.

One price list for the whole Wasatch Front — the wall type does not change the price, and neither does the drive. Plaster over brick, basement framing and earthquake straps are billed exactly like drywall.
