Who we are
TV Mount Q (“TV Mount Q”, “we”, “us”) is a TV mounting and home installation service with crews in several US metro areas. This policy covers this website, our online price calculator, our contact and booking forms, and the calls and text messages we exchange with you.
Information you give us
We only ask for what we need to price and do the job:
- your name, phone number and email address;
- your ZIP code and installation address, including apartment or unit number;
- details of the job — TV sizes, mounts, wall type, cable concealment, add-ons, the date and time you pick and any notes for the crew;
- photos you choose to attach to a request (for example, of the wall or the TV);
- anything you write to us in the form, by text or by email, or tell us on the phone.
Information collected automatically
The site uses a small number of cookies and browser storage, all needed for it to work:
- tvq_calc — keeps your price calculator session, so your order is not lost if you close the page (expires after 90 days);
- tvq_lang — remembers the language you chose;
- browser storage for your light or dark theme and language;
- browser storage for how you found us — the website you came from, the first page you opened, the tags of the link you followed (for example, an ad campaign), and how many visits and pages so far. It stays in your browser and reaches us only together with a request you send, so we know which of our ads and pages work.
Like any website, our server records technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and working.
We measure how the site is used with Umami, an analytics tool that runs on our own server: it counts visits, the pages viewed and for how long, the website you came from, your device type and country, and the steps taken in our price calculator and order builder. Umami does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you, and its data is not shared with anyone. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell your information or share it for targeted advertising. If we ever add advertising tools, we will update this policy first.
How we use your information
- to give you a price and to schedule, perform and follow up on your installation;
- to contact you about your request or appointment — confirmations, reminders, changes and questions from the crew;
- to honor our warranty and handle any issue after the job;
- to answer your questions and improve our services and this website;
- to prevent spam and fraud and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Text messages and calls
When you give us your phone number and ask for a quote, a booking or a call back, you agree that we may call you and send you text messages about that request — quotes, scheduling, appointment updates and follow-ups. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop text messages at any time, or HELP for help. Agreeing to messages is not a condition of any purchase.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed to run the service:
- with the technician who does your installation — your name, phone, address and job details;
- with companies that help us operate — website hosting, our business phone and text provider, email and the internal tools our team uses to schedule jobs. They may use the information only to provide their service to us;
- with Google: when you type an address, the text you type may be sent to Google's address service to suggest matches;
- with Cloudflare: the 3D mount preview on our home page loads its graphics library (three.js) from the cdnjs network, which receives your IP address;
- when the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a sale or merger of the business.

Some guides and tools link to products on Amazon. If you follow such a link, Amazon may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. TV Mount Q is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program; as an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
How long we keep it
We keep contact and order details for as long as we need them to provide the service, honor our 3-year warranty and meet tax and accounting requirements. Photos attached to a request are kept only as long as they are useful for the job and the warranty. Ask us and we will delete what we are not required to keep.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information: encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access for our team and photos that are never published on the website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Residents of California, Nevada, Texas and other states may have additional rights under their state's privacy laws; we honor those requests and will not treat you differently for making them. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it. To make a request, contact us using the details below; we answer within 45 days.
Children
This site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Installations are booked by adults.

Our pages link to other websites, such as manufacturers, Amazon, Instagram and YouTube. Their privacy practices are their own; please read their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed; material changes will be clear on this page.
