Most of Charlotte was built in the last thirty years, and the suburban recipe barely changes from Ballantyne to Huntersville: a two-story house with a brick or stone front, wood studs and drywall inside, a gas fireplace wrapped in stacked stone in the family room and a bonus room over the garage. That bonus room is a Carolina classic — sloped ceilings, short knee walls and a TV wall that is rarely where you would draw it — so we plan the viewing height before anything gets drilled.

Closer in it is a different job. Dilworth, Myers Park, Elizabeth and Plaza Midwood are 1910s–1940s bungalows and colonials with plaster over wood lath, and the towers in Uptown and South End have concrete columns, metal-stud partitions and building managers who want a certificate of insurance first. Around Lake Norman and Lake Wylie the TV often goes outside — on a screened porch or a covered deck facing the water, in humid summers and a spring coat of yellow pollen.

We cover about 80 miles out from Uptown — Mooresville and Statesville to the north, Concord and Salisbury to the east, Gastonia to the west and Fort Mill, Rock Hill and York across the South Carolina line — with no travel fee anywhere in that circle and same-day slots seven days a week.

Building paperwork is our job, not yours

Uptown and South End towers almost always ask for a certificate of insurance naming the association and a reserved service elevator, and many limit contractor hours to weekdays. We issue the COI and book the elevator ourselves. The big planned communities — Ballantyne, Baxter Village, Birkdale, Skybrook — mostly care about the outside: an outdoor TV on a porch facing the street or a lake may need approval, so send us the rules and we mount to them.

  • Certificate of insurance naming your association, usually same day
  • Service elevator and loading dock booked by us
  • Background-checked, uniformed technicians
  • Drop cloths down, dust vacuumed, packaging taken away

“Stacked-stone fireplace and a 75" TV — Volodymyr found solid stone instead of the grout and tilted the screen down so it's comfortable from the couch. Wires hidden in the wall. Exactly the price the calculator gave me.”

The walls we actually find in Charlotte

Different market, different walls. The hardware changes with the wall; the result does not.

Stacked-stone gas fireplaces

The standard family-room wall from Ballantyne to Lake Norman. We anchor into the stone or the masonry behind it — never into a mortar joint or the thin veneer alone — check the heat above the firebox and pull-test every anchor.

Bonus rooms over the garage

Sloped ceilings, knee walls and one short wall that has to hold the TV. We measure the sight line from the couch, find the studs under the slope and use a tilting or articulating mount when the only wall is too low or too tight.

Plaster and lath in Dilworth, Myers Park and Plaza Midwood

Plaster cracks if you drill it like drywall: we score it, drill slowly and find the studs behind the lath before anything carries weight.

Screened porches and Lake Norman decks

Outdoor-rated screens, stainless hardware and a sealed cable entry, mounted under the roof and out of the afternoon sun and the summer storms.

Concrete and metal studs in Uptown and South End towers

Rotary hammer into concrete, snap-toggles into steel studs, and the building's insurance paperwork and service elevator sorted before we arrive.

TV mounting in Charlotte — questions we get

Still unsure? Call (877) 676-8880 — a person answers, 8am–8pm.

Can you mount a TV over a stacked-stone fireplace in Charlotte?
Yes — it is the most common family-room job we do here. We find solid stone or the masonry behind it, never a mortar joint, use sleeve anchors rated for masonry and check the surface temperature above the firebox first. If the TV would sit too high to watch comfortably, we say so before drilling and suggest a tilting or pull-down mount.
Can you mount a TV in a bonus room with a sloped ceiling?
Usually yes. We measure the viewing height from where you sit, find the studs in the knee wall or the gable wall and pick a mount that fits the space — a low-profile tilting mount on a short wall, or an articulating arm when the only good wall is at an angle to the couch.
Are Fort Mill, Rock Hill and Lake Norman the same price as Charlotte?
Yes. Fort Mill, Tega Cay, Rock Hill, Mooresville, Concord and Gastonia all cost what Uptown costs — no travel fee anywhere inside the service area, which reaches about 80 miles out from the center of Charlotte on both sides of the state line.
Can you work in an Uptown or South End high-rise?
Yes. We send the certificate of insurance naming your association, book the service elevator and work to the building's hours. Concrete gets a rotary hammer and concrete anchors, metal studs get snap-toggles rated for the TV's weight.
How fast can you get to my side of Charlotte?
Usually same-day or next-day, seven days a week, 8am–8pm. Crews start from South Charlotte, the University area and Lake Norman, so Ballantyne, Huntersville and Fort Mill get the same windows as Uptown. Pick a time in the calculator and we confirm by text.
