TV Mounting in Ballantyne, NC

Ballantyne grew out of south Charlotte woodland in the 1990s as one planned community: golf-course homes around Ballantyne Country Club, cul-de-sacs in Blakeney and Piper Glen, and now apartments rising where the corporate park used to be all offices. Volodymyr's South Charlotte crew is here most weekdays, often for two or three TVs in one visit.

TV mounting in Ballantyne is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for stone or plaster.

Stacked-stone fireplaces and bonus rooms

Stacked-stone fireplace surrounds are the Ballantyne family-room wall. The stone is uneven, so we anchor into solid stone or the masonry behind it, shim the mount level and check the heat above the firebox. Mounting on stone.

Bonus rooms over the garage have sloped ceilings and short knee walls. We measure the viewing height from the couch, find the studs under the slope and use a tilting mount ($49) when the wall is low. TV height.

Big screens

75- and 85-inch TVs are normal in these family rooms. We use mounts rated well above the weight, lag bolts into two studs and a second technician for the lift when the TV needs one. 85-inch TVs.

Screened porches and patios

Porches here are for football Sundays. An outdoor-rated TV under the roof, stainless hardware and a sealed cable entry keep it working through humid summers. Outdoor TVs.

What this means for your TV wall

Ballantyne is young housing: the median home was built in 2001, and 34.3% of units went up in the 2000s alone. Only 0.6% predate 1960, so plaster and lath almost never show up; the walls we open are drywall on wood studs, sometimes framed 24 inches apart. 54.5% of homes heat mainly with utility gas, which matches what we see in family rooms: gas logs under a stone surround. And with 39.1% of homes rented, a growing share of visits are apartments where the lease decides how the cables run.

Three decades of Ballantyne, three kinds of TV wall

Developers Johnny Harris and Smoky Bissell started the corporate park in 1992, and the rezoning of about 2,000 acres around it was reported as the largest in Mecklenburg County history. Crescent Resources built the country club and the subdivisions around it. Each wave left its own wall:

The corporate park is turning into a neighborhood

Northwood Investors bought most of Ballantyne Corporate Park in 2017 and is redeveloping it; The Bowl at Ballantyne is planned for up to 1,000 apartments with shops and a hotel, and the wider Ballantyne Reimagined plan adds roughly 2,000 apartments and 300 townhouses. A February 2026 sketch plan proposed about 411 more homes on Ballantyne Commons Parkway. For us that means more first-week-in-the-apartment calls: a TV on the living-room wall, a smaller one in the bedroom, and cords hidden without cutting anything the landlord owns.

A TV power cord never goes inside the wall by itself. In a house we use a listed in-wall power kit ($69); in a rental, surface raceway keeps it clean and reversible. Our guide to hiding wires without cutting drywall shows both.

Getting a Ballantyne visit booked fast

Tell us the screen sizes, which rooms, and whether the fireplace is gas or electric. Gated sections need the gate code or a visitor-list entry; townhome owners should check whether the TV wall is shared with a neighbor. With that in hand, Volodymyr can often come the same day, the way he does in nearby SouthPark and Matthews. See every town we cover on the Charlotte region page.

TV mounting in Ballantyne, NC: common questions

Can you mount a TV on my stacked-stone fireplace in Ballantyne?
Yes. We anchor into solid stone or the masonry behind it, never the mortar, level the mount on the uneven surface and check the heat first.
How do you handle a bonus room with a sloped ceiling?
We measure from where you sit, find the studs in the knee wall or gable wall and choose a low-profile tilting or articulating mount.
How much does TV mounting cost in Ballantyne?
$119 up to 60 inches, $129 up to 85 inches and $40 for each additional TV. No travel fee.
Can you put a TV on my screened porch?
Yes, an outdoor-rated TV under the porch roof with stainless hardware and a sealed cable entry.
How fast can you get to Ballantyne?
Usually the same day or the next, seven days a week — our South Charlotte crew is close by.
My Ballantyne house was built around 2000 — is the wall strong enough for an 85-inch TV?
Almost always. Homes of that age are drywall on wood studs, and we lag a heavy-duty mount ($59) into two of them. About 1 in 6 walls from those years are framed 24 inches apart, so we scan first and pick a mount plate wide enough to reach both studs.
I just moved into one of the new apartments near The Bowl. Can you still mount my TV?
Usually yes. Send us your lease or the management rules, and we plan around them: stud mounting with a small set of holes, cords in raceway instead of the wall, and a dismount and patch when you leave.
Do I need HOA approval for a TV on my screened porch?
Inside the porch is normally your call, but if the screen shows from the street or the golf course, many Ballantyne associations want to see the plan. We send a photo mock-up and the outlet plan you can attach to the request.
Can you do the family room, bonus room and bedroom on the same day?
Yes, that is our most common Ballantyne visit. Each extra TV is $40, and Volodymyr brings a second technician when one of the screens is 86 inches or larger.

★★★★★

“Stacked-stone fireplace and a 75" TV — Volodymyr found solid stone instead of the grout and tilted the screen down so it's comfortable from the couch. Wires hidden in the wall. Exactly the price the calculator gave me.”
