Which wall mount fits my TV?

Pick your TV's brand and screen size to see the VESA pattern that lineup uses, the weight range and mounts that fit. Add the model code from the sticker for an exact match.

VESA patterns and weights from the makers' own documents, checked Sep 23, 2026.

2Screen size (corner to corner)

Pick a brand and a screen size.

You get the VESA pattern most of that lineup uses, the weight range and mounts that fit. No model number needed.

Screen size alone does not decide the mount. At 55" alone, current TVs use six different VESA patterns, and a bracket that "fits 55-inch TVs" only means its size range and weight rating — whether the holes line up is decided by the pattern. That is why the finder answers from the maker's own spec for your brand and size.

Typical VESA pattern by screen size

What most TVs of each size use. A typical pattern is a starting point, never a guarantee — measure or look up your model.

How to measure the VESA pattern yourself

  1. Lay the TV face down on a soft surface, or look at the back with a flashlight.
  2. Measure between the centres of the two top holes, left to right, in millimetres.
  3. Measure between the centres of a top and a bottom hole, top to bottom.
  4. Write it width first: 400 across and 300 down is 400 × 300.

Weight matters as much as the holes

A mount's rating is for the panel alone, without the stand. Use the weight without stand from the spec sheet — the finder shows it — and pick a mount rated at least 25% above it.

Size ranges on the box ("fits 42–90 inch") are about the plate and the typical weight, not your TV. Two 65" TVs can differ by 30 lb.

Where the answers come from

Every pattern and weight is read from the TV maker's own documents — product pages, setup guides, spec sheets and support articles — and each model page links the document it came from with the date it was checked.

A value the maker's documents could not confirm is marked unverified. A brand or size we do not have gets the typical pattern for that size, labelled as typical, never a silent guess.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know which wall mount fits my TV?
Match three things: the VESA pattern (the hole spacing on the back), the weight without stand, and the screen size range. The finder shows the published pattern and weight for your brand and size or exact model.
What does VESA 400 × 300 mean?
The four mounting holes are 400 mm apart side to side and 300 mm apart top to bottom. A mount fits when its maximum VESA is at least that in both directions.
Is VESA the same for all TVs of the same size?
No. At 55" alone, current TVs use six patterns, and one model line can change pattern between sizes and years. Check your brand and size, or measure.
Where do I find my TV's model number?
On the sticker on the back of the TV, in the About or TV Information menu, or on the box and receipt. Extra letters at the end do not matter to the finder.
Can a mount rated for a bigger VESA pattern fit a smaller one?
Usually yes. Most brackets have slotted arms that cover every pattern up to their maximum. Check the minimum pattern too for very small TVs.
