Which tool you need
Most people land here in the middle of the job with one question. If you are starting from scratch, this is the order the decisions come in.

Where the numbers come from
The mount finder reads a VESA dataset compiled from each maker's own spec pages, setup guides and support articles: pattern, weight without the stand, screw size where published, and the document every value came from. A value the maker's documents could not confirm is marked unverified. When a brand or size is not covered, the finder says so and falls back to the typical pattern for that size, clearly labelled as typical.
Product suggestions come from a short list of brackets and parts whose compatibility figures — maximum VESA, weight rating, screen range — are taken from the listing itself. If a listing leaves a spec out, the card says so instead of assuming it fits.
The geometry is standard guidance, not house opinion: the centre of the screen at seated eye level (about 42" on a sofa, 42–50" in a bedroom), a 30° field of view at the relaxed end (SMPTE) and 40° at the immersive end (THX).
