TV Mounting in Harrisburg, NC

Harrisburg is a young Cabarrus County town: incorporated in 1973, it mostly filled in after its wastewater system was finished in 1985, and new streets off Robinson Church Road are still going up. We mount TVs in those rooms, often the same day you call, at flat prices, with the cables tucked out of sight.

Two-story family homes, bonus rooms and playrooms

Family rooms have a gas fireplace with a tile or stone surround and a wall of windows. We check the heat and the viewing height, anchor into two studs and hide the cables inside the wall ($69). TVs over fireplaces.

Bonus rooms and playrooms over the garage have sloped ceilings and one usable wall. We measure from the couch, find the studs under the slope and use a low tilting mount ($49). TV height.

Kid-proof installs

In playrooms and game rooms the TV takes hits from balls and controllers. We mount a little higher, use a fixed mount that sits tight to the wall and run the cables where small hands can't pull them. Hiding cables.

Covered patios

Back patios here are where the grill and the game go on Saturdays. An outdoor-rated TV under the roof, stainless hardware and a sealed cable entry handle the humid summers. Outdoor TVs.

What this means for your TV wall

Harrisburg's median home was built in 2006, and 40.2% of its housing went up in the 2000s, so nearly every TV wall we open is drywall over wood studs, not plaster or block. With 88.5% detached houses, the usual layout is a two-story family room plus a bonus room over the garage. Most homes here heat with gas, which matches the gas-log fireplaces we heat-test before hanging anything above a mantel. Renters are few, so most walls are yours to drill.

Abbington to Harmony: the walls of each Harrisburg street

Each corner of Harrisburg was built by a different builder in a different decade, and the walls show it. Abbington, started in the 2000s, has larger wooded lots and a mix of custom and production homes, so framing and fireplace faces change from house to house. Blume went up mostly in the mid-to-late 2010s with large homes and big family rooms, where an 86-inch screen always comes with a second technician. Harmony, across from Hickory Ridge High School, is still building out and includes Encore at Harmony for buyers 55 and over; if clearer dialogue matters, a soundbar under the screen helps ($69). Terraces at Farmington townhomes, finished between 2022 and 2024, are compact, so a 55- or 65-inch on a full-motion arm often suits the open living room. Ihor's University-area crew reaches you from the Concord and University City side.

Closing on a new Harrisburg build? Plan the TV wall first

The town's June 2026 development report lists Churchill Farms, Commons at Farmington, Camellia Gardens and Courtyards @ Robinson Church as active construction; the Courtyards alone were rezoned for 77 homes, with 29 permitted so far. For new owners, look up before picking a spot: the outlet and cable box builders put high over the mantel often leave the screen too tall for the sofa. We heat-test the gas logs first (fireplace TVs), then mount lower and bring power down with a listed in-wall kit, never a bare TV cord inside the wall (hidden cables). About 1 in 6 newer walls we open are framed 24 inches on center, so we pick the mount to match, and in two-story family rooms we mark the height from your seat, not the ceiling. A 65- or 75-inch is $129; send your request and we will confirm a same-day or next-day time.

Harmony, near Hickory Ridge High School

  • 75-inch
  • stacked-stone veneer over a framed chase
  • tilting

The builder's box sat near the ceiling. After a 20-minute burn test, Ihor lagged into the chase framing 10 inches lower and powered it through a recessed in-wall kit.

Terraces at Farmington townhome

  • 65-inch
  • drywall over wood studs, 24 inches on center
  • full-motion

Studs ran 24 inches apart, too wide for the arm the owner bought, so Ihor fitted one with a wider plate that reached both.

Bonus room in Abbington

  • 55-inch
  • knee wall under a steep slope
  • tilting

A steep slope gives up-firing Atmos drivers no flat ceiling, so Ihor set the bar above the TV and suggested rear speakers.

On-site notes from Harrisburg jobs

  • Most HOAs here only regulate exteriors — patio TVs visible from the street may need approval.
  • Weekend ballgames at Harrisburg Park fill the roads; weekday mornings are quickest.
  • Three-TV visits are the norm; each additional TV is $40.

TV mounting in Harrisburg, NC: common questions

Can you mount TVs in the living room, bonus room and bedroom in one visit?
Yes — that is the usual Harrisburg job. We mount each into studs, level them and hide the cables where the walls allow it.
Can you mount a TV over the gas fireplace?
Usually yes, after checking the heat above the firebox and the viewing height. When it would sit high, a tilting mount angles it down toward the sofa.
How much does TV mounting cost in Harrisburg?
$119 up to 60 inches, $129 up to 85 inches and $40 for each additional TV. No travel fee.
How do you make a playroom TV safe from kids?
A fixed mount tight to the wall, mounted a little higher, with the cables hidden or covered so they can't be pulled.
How fast can you get to Harrisburg?
Usually the same day or the next, seven days a week — our University-area crew is next door.
Still building in Harmony or Blume. When should we book?
Book for after closing and the final walkthrough. Send a photo of the family-room wall beforehand, and Ihor will tell you whether the builder's high outlet works or an in-wall kit is needed, and which mount fits.
Does my Harrisburg HOA care about an indoor TV?
Indoor TVs are almost never an HOA matter; covenants here focus on exteriors. Dues and rules vary a lot between subdivisions, so if the screen will hang on a back patio that neighbors can see, read your community's covenants first.
Is a Farmington townhome wall any different?
Framing is the same wood studs and drywall, but a shared wall carries sound to the next unit, so we suggest another wall when possible and keep a soundbar off the shared one. Mounting on it is still fine.
