South Salt Lake packs two kinds of home into a few square miles: apartment towers along the S-Line and at the old Granite Mill site, and small brick houses from the town's first decades near Fitts Park. Anton's crew mounts in both, at a flat price and often the same day.
TV mounting in South Salt Lake is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for brick or concrete.
New apartment buildings are wood or light-gauge steel framing with thin shared walls. Lag bolts in wood, snap-toggles in steel, and a paintable raceway ($39) that comes off cleanly at move-out. Metal studs.
Older brick homes have plaster on brick or lath inside. Masonry anchors in solid brick, a stud check for lath, slow drilling either way. Renter-friendly cables.
A fixed mount ($39) gets the TV off the dresser for the lowest price. We level it, cover the cables and leave the wall easy to patch when you move. Apartment mounting.
Waiting rooms, bars and shops want screens mounted high and angled down. We come before opening, use tilting mounts ($49) and hide cables in raceways. Raceway guide.
11,876 homes and about 26,352 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.
38% owner-occupied · 62% rented
U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020–2024 5-year estimates: year built, units in structure, tenure.
The housing here splits almost evenly by age: 27.5% of homes were built in 2010 or later and 27.3% before 1960. The newer share is mostly mid-rise rental buildings with steel or wood studs behind thin drywall. The older share is small houses with brick or cinder-block walls under the plaster. With 61.8% of households renting, we plan most jobs around a lease: few holes, removable cable covers and a clean wall at move-out.
Since 2015 more than 2,800 apartments, town houses and other homes have gone up near the TRAX stations here, and the streetcar corridor toward Sugar House keeps adding height: One Burton, eight stories and 180 units at Main Street and Burton Avenue, and the roughly 10-story Bowers Residences on the old Granite Mill warehouse site. Unit walls in these buildings are usually metal or wood studs under one layer of drywall, and the wall shared with a neighbor or corridor is often fire-rated. So Anton scans the whole wall before picking a spot: an interior partition can take an in-wall run with a listed power kit ($69), while a rated wall gets a painted surface cover. Both options are on our cable concealment page. Bring your lease or HOA rules when you book, and we plan around them.

South Salt Lake incorporated as a town in 1938, and the WPA began laying its sewers in 1939. Many of the small houses on the side streets east of State and around Fitts Park come from those first decades. Their TV walls are usually plaster laid directly on brick, or cinder block with brick veneer outside in the postwar homes. Anton drills with a masonry bit, sets each anchor in a solid brick face or in the web of a block, never in a mortar joint, and moves the mount if a test hole crumbles. With no cavity behind the plaster, cables travel in a slim raceway painted to the wall color, and the power cord stays outside the wall. Not sure what is behind yours? No cavity behind the plaster, so cables went into a painted raceway; every anchor sits in brick, none in mortar.

A listed in-wall power kit fed from the outlet below kept the TV cord outside the wall; two small openings total.

One price list for the whole Wasatch Front — the wall type does not change the price, and neither does the drive. Plaster over brick, basement framing and earthquake straps are billed exactly like drywall.
