Bennion split-level
Old paint on the TV wall, so Anton kept both openings small, skipped sanding and caught the dust as he cut.

Taylorsville is a city of owner-kept split-levels and ramblers, most of them built between the 1960s and the early 1990s along the Redwood Road corridor and in old Bennion. We bring the stud finder, masonry bits and dust-catching tools those houses need, and requests sent before noon often get a same-day visit.
TV mounting in Taylorsville is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for brick or concrete.
Split-levels and ramblers have a brick fireplace wall in the family room and drywall or paneling elsewhere. Masonry anchors in solid brick, lag bolts into studs on framed walls. Brick vs. veneer.
Lower-level family rooms are framed in front of the foundation. The mount goes into studs and the cables run through the framing ($69). Hiding cables.
Wide, shallow split-level rooms often put the TV at an angle to the sofa. A full-motion mount ($69) turns it toward you, and we take down the old setup ($49) first. Tilt vs. swivel.
Renters near the SLCC campus get studs, a small fixed mount and a paintable raceway ($39) that comes off at move-out. Renter-friendly cables.
20,913 homes and about 58,678 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.

With 39.6% of homes built in 1960–79, many Taylorsville TV walls predate 1992 — so we cut only two small openings, never sand, and keep cables out of the attic, where Libby vermiculite insulation may sit. Detached houses make up 63.7%, which means wood studs and a lower-level family room in most homes, and 71.2% are owner-occupied, so in-wall runs are usually welcome. Many old brick fireplaces here now hold a gas insert; we run it and measure the wall first.
Taylorsville grew fast once the farmland gave way to subdivisions in the late 1950s, and most houses in Bennion and along Redwood Road were finished long before 1992. Utah air-quality staff have noted that vermiculite from the Libby, Montana mine — often contaminated with asbestos — is especially common in Utah attics, so in these homes we never fish cables through the attic. Our cable concealment here uses two small holes, one behind the TV and one near the outlet, together well under a square foot, and we do not sand old paint. The power goes through a listed in-wall kit fed from the existing outlet ($69); the TV's own cord never travels inside the wall. If you want a brand-new outlet, that is a licensed electrician's job with a city permit, and we will tell you so up front.

A split-level gives you a living room a half-flight up and a family room a half-flight down. About 2 in 5 of our visits across the valley include three or more TVs, and Taylorsville homes fit that pattern well, so tell us every room when you book and Anton plans one trip. The lower room is usually the easy one: framing in front of the foundation, two studs, about an hour. The upper living room may share a wall with the kitchen or face a big front window; check glare and eye level with our height tool first. If the brick fireplace is the focal wall, our fireplace service covers the heat test and a tilting mount ($49). Neighbors in West Valley City and Murray live with the same split-level layouts, and Anton's crew covers all three.

Anton ran the gas insert 20 minutes first; the brick stayed cool, so anchors went into solid brick, never mortar.

Strap on the arm; cables through the framing to a closet under the stairs, never across concrete.

One price list for the whole Wasatch Front — the wall type does not change the price, and neither does the drive. Plaster over brick, basement framing and earthquake straps are billed exactly like drywall.
