West Valley City grew from four farm communities, and its walls show it: brick ramblers in Granger, split-levels with basements in Hunter, Ron Molen's mid-century houses in Westshire and 2000s streets out west. Anton's crew drives from West Jordan, and about two in three requests sent before noon get a same-day visit at a flat price.
TV mounting in West Valley City is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for brick or concrete.
Ramblers and split-levels have drywall or paneling and often a brick fireplace wall. We find the studs behind paneling, drill brick only in solid faces and mount into two studs on framed walls. Brick vs. veneer.
Basements are framed in front of the concrete. The mount goes into studs and the cables run through the framing ($69). Hiding cables.
Apartments near Valley Fair and the Maverik Center need a reversible setup: studs, a fixed or tilting mount and a paintable raceway ($39). Renter-friendly cables.
Many houses still have an old TV stand or an old mount. We take it down ($49), patch the wall and mount the new TV into studs. Drywall guide.

U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020–2024 5-year estimates: year built, units in structure, tenure.
About 33.9% of West Valley homes were built in 1960–79, so the usual TV wall is drywall or wood paneling over studs, often beside a brick fireplace. With 85.7% of homes on utility gas heat, most fireplaces we mount over burn gas logs or an insert, and we run the fire and measure the wall before picking a height. Many of the 27.9% who rent live in apartments near Valley Fair and the Maverik Center, where removable work matters.
West Valley City was assembled in 1980 from Hunter, Granger, Chesterfield and Redwood, and each part filled in at its own pace. In Granger and Hunter the 1960s–70s ramblers often have a brick fireplace; the upper courses can hold soft mortar, so we test before drilling and anchor only into sound brick. Westshire, south of Valley Fair, is 160 Ron Molen mid-century homes, and many owners there want the original brick and wood left alone, so the TV goes on a framed side wall. On the west side, 1990s–2000s planned developments bring gas fireplaces with shallow builder niches that often cannot fit a 75-inch with the clearance its maker asks for, so we mount on the wall above the niche. Hunter and Granger split-levels have a finished basement framed in front of the foundation, and that is where the big screen lands for game nights. Anton runs the HDMI and a listed power kit through the framing cavity, never the concrete, often ending at a closet under the stairs. Of our 27 cable-concealment jobs in West Valley City, 19 went in-wall; see cable concealment. The other 8 were painted raceways for renters, many around Chesterfield and the Maverik Center, that come off cleanly at move-out. Downtown keeps adding apartments: the first Fairbourne Station building had 225 units, and Valley Fair Village plans 711 more. Moving in? A fixed or tilting mount into studs suits most leases. Labor for a 61- to 85-inch TV is $129. Check heights with our height tool, or see Taylorsville next door.

The owners kept the original fireplace brick, so Anton hung the arm in two studs on the side wall with a safety strap.

One price list for the whole Wasatch Front — the wall type does not change the price, and neither does the drive. Plaster over brick, basement framing and earthquake straps are billed exactly like drywall.
