TV Mounting in Lillington, NC

Lillington grew up around a brick courthouse rebuilt in 1897, just south of the Cape Fear, and new subdivisions like Stonebarrow and Seagrass Landing now ring it. We hang TVs in those fresh plans, in manufactured homes on country lots and on screened porches, usually the day you call.

TV mounting in Lillington is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for brick, stone or plaster.

What this means for your TV wall

Nearly a quarter of Lillington's homes went up in 2010 or later (23.2%), so the TV walls we open here are usually wood studs behind fresh drywall, and about 1 in 5 of those newer walls turn out to be framed 24 inches apart. Detached houses make up 68.8%, but the 23.5% filed under 2–4 units and other takes in duplexes and the manufactured homes on country lots, where thinner walls change how we plan the mount.

Stonebarrow, Seagrass Landing and the other new streets

Most of our Lillington calls come from the subdivisions that keep opening around town: Stonebarrow, Seagrass Landing, Ducks Landing, Partridge Village and Leander Lee Preserve. Two-story plans add a loft or a bonus room over the garage, and those rooms run warm on summer afternoons, so we leave the streaming box room to breathe. Builders here sometimes frame at 24 inches on center, which pushes a 65-inch TV off center on a standard plate; a wider plate or a full-motion arm ($69) fixes that cleanly, without trusting a single anchor in bare drywall. A 75-inch or 85-inch family-room screen is $129, and our height tool shows where its center should sit for your sofa. Tymofii and the Fuquay-Varina crew cover Lillington and Buies Creek; send a photo of the wall and we usually confirm a same-day slot.

Manufactured homes, older brick and river-country porches

Past the town limits, toward Shawtown, Mamers and the roads to Raven Rock, plenty of homes are manufactured or modular. Their walls are often thin panels on lighter studs, so Tymofii finds each stud by its fastener line, lags into two of them and keeps the screen on a slim fixed or tilting mount rather than a long arm. In the older brick houses near the 1897 courthouse we look at the outlet first; a two-prong receptacle means the owner's electrician comes before we do. Porch TVs are the other big request, and the river belongs in that talk: the 1945 Homestead Hurricane flooded the Cape Fear at Lillington, so on low lots we keep the streaming box and power strip off the porch floor and set the screen under the roof, at least 3 feet in from the open side. Stonebarrow two-story

  • 65-inch
  • drywall on studs 24 inches on center
  • tilting

The studs sat 24 inches apart and off center. Tymofii spanned two with a wide plate and slid the TV to center on the rail.

Manufactured home near Mamers

  • 55-inch
  • thin wall panel on light studs
  • fixed

The thin panel flexed under a hand, so Tymofii lagged into two studs found by their fastener lines and ran raceway.

Jones Creek Meadows back porch

  • 55-inch outdoor-rated
  • vinyl siding over wood studs

TV mounting in Lillington, NC: common questions

Do you come to Lillington with no travel fee?
Yes. Lillington and Buies Creek are inside our Cary service area and cost the same as Cary.
I'm a Campbell student renting — can I get a TV mounted?
Usually yes with the landlord's okay; studs only, a removable raceway, and we can patch at move-out.
How much does TV mounting cost in Lillington?
$119 up to 60 inches, $129 up to 85 inches and $49 to take a TV down before a move.
Can you take our TVs down before a PCS move?
Yes. We dismount each TV and mount, bag and label the hardware and patch the holes if you want.
How soon can you come to Lillington?
Usually the same day or the next, seven days a week.
Can you hide the wires in my new Lillington home?
Yes — on new drywall we run the cables inside the wall to a recessed box behind the screen.
Do I need a permit to mount a TV in Lillington?
Not for the mount or the low-voltage cables. A new outlet behind the TV is a licensed electrician's job, and in Lillington that permit comes from the town, after its zoning approval, even for addresses in its ETJ.
Our subdivision has an HOA. Does a patio TV need approval?
Read your covenants before the visit. Communities with dues, such as Jones Creek Meadows, usually regulate exterior changes, and an open patio TV can count. Ask before you buy the set, then tell us what the HOA approved.
Can you mount a large TV in a manufactured home?
Usually up to about 65 inches, on a slim mount anchored into two studs. We do not hang a long full-motion arm on thin paneling. For bigger screens we look at the wall in person or suggest a TV stand instead.
