Half of Wendell's homes were built in 2010 or later, many in Wendell Falls and along Highway 64 toward Eagle Rock, while Wendell Boulevard keeps the town's older porches and plaster. Illia and our North Raleigh crew mount TVs on both kinds of wall, usually the same day you call, at flat prices with no travel fee.
TV mounting in Wendell is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for brick, stone or plaster.
Wendell Falls homes are drywall on wood studs with gas fireplaces and wide front porches. Lag bolts into two studs, cables inside the wall ($69). Hiding cables.
Older houses downtown can have plaster or paneling. We find the framing and mount into it, and set the height from where you actually sit. Ideal TV height.
Wendell Falls is built around front porches and back patios. Outdoor-rated TVs with stainless hardware, planned so they stay within the community's exterior rules. Outdoor TVs.
Gas fireplaces in new family rooms usually put the TV above them; we check the heat and use a tilting mount ($49). TVs over fireplaces.
5,198 homes and about 13,064 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.

U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020–2024 5-year estimates: year built, units in structure, tenure.
With a median year built of 2010 and 50.0% of homes from 2010 on, most Wendell TV walls are builder drywall on wood studs. Detached houses make up 84.6% of the stock, so a visit often covers a family room, a bonus room and a primary bedroom rather than a shared condo wall. In houses built since 2000, about 1 in 5 TV walls we open are framed 24 inches on center, so we confirm spacing first.
Wendell Falls was proposed on about 1,400 acres for roughly 4,000 homes, and Lennar, Meritage, Davidson and Homes by Dickerson all build there, each placing the TV outlet and cable plate a little differently. Illia checks three things before drilling in a Wendell Falls house. The fireplace comes first: on a gas unit we run a 20-minute heat test at full flame and read the wall where the TV's bottom edge will sit. Next is the bonus room over the garage, which runs warm on summer afternoons and often has a knee wall suited to a tilting mount. Last is power: a TV cord never goes inside the wall, so hidden cables use a listed in-wall power kit plugged into the existing outlet. Mounting a 75-inch is $129, with a second technician on the lift.

Wendell Boulevard is listed on the National Register as a residential historic district, and the old commercial blocks downtown form a second one. In these older houses Illia meets plaster on wood lath, painted paneling and the odd masonry wall. He locates studs behind the plaster with small test holes inside the wall plate's footprint, so a miss stays hidden behind the TV. Before promising a recessed box he cuts a test opening; if the lath crumbles, the cables go into paintable raceway. In homes built before 1978 we drill only anchor and cable holes, with a dust shroud, and sand nothing. The town handles zoning and final inspections and Wake County the rest, but a mount with no new wiring stays outside that process. Send a photo of your wall for a quick answer.

Studs were 24 inches apart, so Illia chose a wide plate that reaches two of them.

The test opening showed crumbling lath, so the cables went into paintable raceway along the trim.

One price list for Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill and out to Pinehurst and Fayetteville — the wall type does not change the price, and neither does the drive. Oakwood plaster, stacked-stone fireplaces and downtown concrete are billed exactly like drywall.
