Wake Forest splits in two for a homeowner: older plaster houses on Faculty Avenue, downtown and in Glen Royall Mill Village, and the newer townhomes and two-story builds of Kinsley, Prestleigh and Rockport. Illia and our North Raleigh crew work both, usually the same day, at a flat price confirmed before we drill.
TV mounting in Wake Forest is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for brick, stone or plaster.
Downtown's historic houses have plaster and old chimneys. We confirm the studs before drilling and patch every test hole. Mounts for plaster.
Subdivisions in Heritage and Traditions are drywall on wood studs with gas fireplaces and bonus rooms. Lag bolts into two studs and cables inside the wall ($69). Drywall guide.
Family room, bonus room and bedroom each need a different height. We mark it with you before drilling. Ideal TV height.
Porches get outdoor-rated TVs with stainless hardware; bonus rooms get 75- and 85-inch screens on heavy-duty mounts. Outdoor TVs, 85-inch TVs.
19,428 homes and about 52,844 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.

U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020–2024 5-year estimates: year built, units in structure, tenure.
The median Wake Forest home was built in 2009, and 46.0% of units date from 2010 or later, so most TV walls we open are fresh drywall over wood studs, though newer framing sometimes puts the studs 24 inches apart. Townhomes make up 10.5% of the housing, and their open plans often put the TV where both kitchen and sofa can see it. The few pre-1960 plaster rooms sit mostly in the historic districts near downtown.
Most of our Wake Forest calls come from homes under fifteen years old. Kinsley packs 726 townhomes onto 209 acres just north of downtown, so our first question there is which wall touches the neighbor; that wall stays uncut, and the TV moves to an interior wall or a surface raceway. At The Reserve and The Townes at Prestleigh off Jones Dairy Road, family rooms tend to center on a gas fireplace, and every fireplace TV starts with our 20-minute burn and a surface reading. Rockport's wooded lots, up to 1.2 acres, invite screened porches, where Illia does much of his outdoor TV work. A 75-inch or larger screen always comes with a second technician from the nearest crew, so the lift is never a one-person job. A 65- or 75-inch TV is $129; each extra room adds $40.

Wake Forest has four historic districts, three of them on the National Register: the Wake Forest Historic District, Glen Royall Mill Village and Downtown Wake Forest. The local district along Faculty Avenue, named for the professors who once lived there, became the town's first in 1979. Historic review there is aimed at exterior changes, so we keep every hole indoors and never add one through siding or brick. Downtown buildings date from 1890 to 1949, which means plaster, chimney breasts and paint old enough to hold lead. Illia drills only the anchor and cable holes, with a dust shroud, after a test hole finds solid backing. Cables usually go into paintable raceway; the TV's power cord itself never goes inside the wall, and in-wall power always means a listed in-wall kit. Send a quick request with a photo of the wall.

One price list for Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill and out to Pinehurst and Fayetteville — the wall type does not change the price, and neither does the drive. Oakwood plaster, stacked-stone fireplaces and downtown concrete are billed exactly like drywall.
