Aberdeen has two kinds of homes: the 1880–1940 houses around Union Station and Page Memorial Library, and fresh builds off Bethesda Road and NC 211. Tymofii drives down from our Fuquay-Varina base, reads your wall and hangs every TV in one visit, often the same day, at a flat price.
TV mounting in Aberdeen is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for brick, stone or plaster.
New subdivisions are drywall on wood studs with a gas fireplace on the TV wall. Heat check, then a tilting mount ($49). TVs over fireplaces.
Rentals get studs only and a removable raceway ($39), with holes patched at move-out. Mounting in an apartment.
Old mounts from the last duty station are checked against the new TVs before we reuse them; anything that does not fit gets replaced. Will your mount fit?, drywall guide.
Covered patios get outdoor-rated TVs with stainless hardware and a sealed cable entry. Outdoor TVs.
4,311 homes and about 9,228 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.
59% owner-occupied · 41% rented
U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020–2024 5-year estimates: year built, units in structure, tenure.
Aberdeen's median home was built in 2003, and 29.9% of homes went up in 2010 or later, so most TV walls we open are wood-stud framing under drywall. Some newer builders frame at 24 inches on center rather than 16, so we find the studs before choosing a mount. With 41.0% of homes rented, many visits end in removable raceway rather than an in-wall run, and the wall comes back clean at move-out.
The Aberdeen Historic District joined the National Register in 1989 with 101 contributing buildings from 1880 to 1940, the 1906 Union Station among them. Houses of that age usually have plaster walls and paint older than 1978, so Tymofii drills only the anchor and cable holes, with a dust shroud, and never sands. Plaster hides studs too, so we make small test holes inside the plate's footprint. A porch TV or a new hole through siding is an exterior change that goes before the town's Historic Preservation Commission; ask Town Hall first.
A few minutes away, Sandy Springs, Old Bethesda and the lots off Bethesda Road are mostly wood framing under drywall, where one TV takes about 50 minutes. Bethesda Pines, a proposed 74-lot subdivision, and Aberdeen Station will add more of those walls.

Plenty of Aberdeen households arrive on orders from Fort Bragg. Tell us the screen count and rooms when you book; about 2 in 5 of our suburban visits cover three TVs or more, so Tymofii plans family room, bonus room and primary bedroom as one route. A 65-inch or 75-inch set is $129, and 75 inches or bigger comes with a second technician.
Fireplaces here are often electric inserts or sealed fireboxes, not gas logs. We still test first: 20 minutes at full output, then a surface reading where the TV's bottom edge will sit. A hot reading moves the screen higher on a tilt or beside the firebox; see our fireplace TV service.
When the next orders come, we take the TVs down, bag the hardware and patch the holes ($49) through dismount and removal.
A few jobs from the last months — the kind of walls and setups we see here most.

Pre-1978 paint likely, so Tymofii drilled only anchor holes with a dust shroud after hidden test holes.

The insert ran on high for the 20-minute heat test; it passed, so the TV sits just above the mantel.

One price list for Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill and out to Pinehurst and Fayetteville — the wall type does not change the price, and neither does the drive. Oakwood plaster, stacked-stone fireplaces and downtown concrete are billed exactly like drywall.
