Briar Chapel is one of the youngest places we drive to: most houses went up after 2010, nearly all detached, many backing onto trails and preserved woods. Expect sound drywall, gas fireplaces and roomy porches. Tymofii and the west Cary crew usually come the same day, at flat prices, cables hidden.
TV mounting in Briar Chapel is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for brick, stone or plaster.
Family two-stories are drywall on wood studs with a gas fireplace on the TV wall. Heat check, then a tilting mount ($49). TVs over fireplaces.
Cottages and townhomes have smaller rooms and shared walls. Studs on your side, cables inside an interior wall ($69). Drywall guide.
75- and 85-inch TVs on heavy-duty mounts, with a second technician for the lift. 85-inch TVs, ideal TV height.
Screened porches get outdoor-rated TVs with stainless hardware and a sealed cable entry. Outdoor TVs.
2,226 homes and about 6,049 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.

U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020–2024 5-year estimates: year built, units in structure, tenure.
Briar Chapel's median year built is 2014 and 86.0% of its homes date from 2010 or later, so plaster, old wiring and painted brick almost never come up. With 98.2% of homes detached, nearly every TV wall is drywall over wood studs with no shared wall behind it. One quirk: about 1 in 5 post-2000 walls we open have studs 24 inches apart, so we choose a plate wide enough to reach two.
Builders here put most family rooms around a gas fireplace, and that is where owners want the screen. Before anything goes up, Tymofii runs the fireplace at full output for 20 minutes and reads the surface where the TV's bottom edge will sit. If it reads too hot, the screen moves higher on a tilt or to the side wall. Most chases here are drywall-faced, so an in-wall run with a listed power kit ($69) goes in cleanly; the TV's own cord never travels loose inside the wall. Bonus rooms over the garage come next: the gable-end wall usually works best, and because that room heats up on summer afternoons, we book attic cable work for the morning. Try our height tool before the visit, or see how we handle fireplace TVs here.

Encore at Briar Chapel, the 55+ section with its own clubhouse, brings a different request: one TV at an easy height and dialogue you can follow. There we often add a soundbar on its own bracket ($69), set so the TV remote runs both, much like our Fearrington Village jobs. Across the rest of the community, about 24 miles of trails and some 900 acres of open space mean many back yards face woods, and the screened porch becomes a second living room. A porch TV is visible from outside, so we help you send the HOA request before the visit, then plan an outdoor-rated set, a sealed cable entry and a drip loop. In spring the yellow pine pollen coats everything; we show you how to clear the vents safely. Our outdoor TV service page lists the details of a porch job.

Studs sat 24 inches apart, so a wider plate caught two; the soundbar shares one remote via HDMI eARC.

We flagged the outlet's missing in-use cover for the owner's electrician, then sealed the cable entry and added a drip loop.

One price list for Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill and out to Pinehurst and Fayetteville — the wall type does not change the price, and neither does the drive. Oakwood plaster, stacked-stone fireplaces and downtown concrete are billed exactly like drywall.
