The Peninsula at Amberly, two-story great room
The builder's box sat about 14 feet up; after the heat test we hung the TV a foot lower, anchored through the veneer into framing.

Amberly packs eight sub-neighborhoods, a 16-acre lake and the Publix at Amberly Place into the western corner of Cary. Tymofii and our west Cary crew handle the TV walls in these newer homes: tall stone fireplaces, bonus rooms and shared townhome walls, often the same day you call.
TV mounting in Amberly is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for brick, stone or plaster.
Single-family homes are drywall on wood studs with a gas fireplace on the TV wall. We check the heat and height and mount into two studs. Drywall guide.
Townhomes and carriage homes share walls. Studs on your side only, and cables inside an interior wall ($69) where possible. Hiding cables.
Family room, bonus room and primary bedroom each need a different height; we mark them with you before drilling. Ideal TV height.
Living rooms often get a Samsung Frame flush on the wall; covered porches toward the lake get an outdoor-rated TV with stainless hardware. Frame TVs, outdoor TVs.
25,297 homes and about 69,836 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.

Amberly is about as new as Cary gets: median year built 2008, with 43.7% of homes finished in 2010 or later. Expect drywall on wood studs, though in houses built since 2000 about 1 in 5 TV walls we open are framed 24 inches on center. With 64.1% of homes heated by utility gas, the TV wall often holds a gas fireplace, and each of those jobs starts with a 20-minute heat test.
Amberly was planned as eight sub-neighborhoods, and the walls we meet follow those lines. In The Peninsula and Overlook at Amberly, near the 16-acre lake, family rooms often rise two stories over stacked stone, so height and lifting drive the plan, and any screen of 75 inches or more brings a second technician. In the townhome rows we sort out the shared wall before anything else. Carolina Preserve, the Del Webb section for buyers 55 and over, brings a different request: owners often care more about clear dialogue than screen size, which is where a soundbar ($69) earns its place. Elsewhere, about 1 in 6 family-room and bonus-room screens we hang here are 85 inches or larger, so send the model number and we match the mount to its weight. The same crew also covers Green Level and the rest of Cary.

Before any drill touches the stone, we run the fireplace at full output for 20 minutes and read the surface where the bottom of the TV will sit. If it reads hot, the screen goes higher on a tilting mount ($49), onto a pull-down or beside the hearth. Stacked stone is veneer, not structure, so the bolts pass through it into the framing, and the plate is shimmed plumb. Builders here often left the outlet and cable box about 14 feet up; about half of these owners bring the TV a foot or more below it, with power dropped through a listed recessed in-wall kit, since a TV's own cord never runs inside a wall. Amberly great rooms are one of the places our pull-down mounts go most. Send photos of the fireplace through our quote page today.

The owner chose the shared wall, so nothing was cut into it: studs on the owner's side, cables in paintable raceway.

Studs sat 24 inches apart, so the plate spans both; the soundbar got its own bracket below for clearer dialogue.

One price list for Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill and out to Pinehurst and Fayetteville — the wall type does not change the price, and neither does the drive. Oakwood plaster, stacked-stone fireplaces and downtown concrete are billed exactly like drywall.
