TV Mounting in Miramar, FL

Miramar is really two towns: the flat-roofed concrete houses A.L. Mailman began building in 1953 east of University Drive, and the gated lake communities that tripled the population after 1990. Mykhailo works both halves and can usually reach you the same day, at a flat price quoted upfront.

TV mounting in Miramar is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for concrete block.

Mounting TVs in Miramar family homes and townhomes

1990s–2000s homes in the western communities are block on the ground floor with wood-frame upper floors and framed interior partitions. Upstairs and interior walls take lag bolts into studs and are easy to wire inside.

Townhomes share block walls with neighbors; we never do in-wall work on shared walls and keep the TV on an exterior or interior wall that belongs to you.

Historic Miramar homes are block with plaster or drywall over furring — sleeve anchors into the block.

In-wall cables on framed walls

Framed interior walls make Miramar a good place for hidden wiring: a UL-listed power kit ($69) with a recessed outlet behind the TV and a pass-through at the console — hiding TV wires in the wall.

Multiple TVs in one visit

Family room, main bedroom, kids' room, garage gym — each additional TV in the same visit is $40.

Game rooms and kids' rooms

Upstairs loft areas in Monarch Lakes and Riviera Isles become game rooms, and they get full-motion arms so the TV can face the couch or the gaming chairs. Kids' rooms get fixed mounts with cables in a short raceway so nothing dangles.

Hurricane shutters and outdoor TVs

Many Miramar homes still use accordion or panel shutters over the patio. We mount outdoor TVs where the shutters will not hit them when closed and use stainless hardware under covered patios.

Homes in Miramar by the numbers

46,380 homes and about 138,600 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.

What this means for your TV wall

Miramar's median home was built in 1996 and 32.5% of units went up in the 2000s, so the typical TV wall here is a framed interior partition, not solid block. That is why about 2 in 3 of our Miramar concealment jobs hide the wires inside the wall. With 68.8% of homes owner-occupied, in-wall power kits are the usual request; renters and townhome owners on shared walls tend to choose a painted raceway.

Mailman's concrete houses and the walls that came after

Miramar started in 1953, when A.L. Mailman bought the land and built 56 inexpensive concrete houses with flat roofs; the city incorporated two years later on about 2.9 square miles between 64th Avenue and University Drive. Many of those houses have since gained a family room out back, which turns the old exterior wall into the one facing the sofa. Solid concrete leaves no cavity for cables, so we set masonry anchors (in hollow block, always into the web, never a mortar joint) and run a paintable raceway, $39, along a corner or the old window header.

West of University Drive, the homes from the 1990s and 2000s boom are mostly framed inside, but builders mixed wood and metal studs, sometimes in one room. Mykhailo confirms which before promising an in-wall run. Unsure about your wall? Attach a photo to your request.

HOA rules and electric fireplaces in the lake communities

Monarch Lakes, Silver Lakes, Sunset Lakes and Riviera Isles all answer to associations, and the city reminds every building permit applicant, in a signed affidavit under City Code Sec. 22-29, that those rules can apply on top of a city permit. An indoor TV rarely concerns the board, but a lanai TV or anything on an exterior wall often needs approval, so ask the management office a week ahead. In Monarch Lakes the association also handles roofs and grounds.

Inside, a feature we meet often in newer homes is a media bump-out with a built-in electric fireplace; all five fireplace jobs we have done in Miramar were electric. Because the heater blows warm air up the wall, Mykhailo checks it on high and sometimes raises the screen a few inches. Read our electric fireplace guide or try the height tool before choosing a spot.

The bump-out was metal-stud framed, so snap-toggles span two studs and the TV sits 4 inches above the heater.

On-site notes from Miramar jobs

  • Most western Miramar communities are gated; we register the crew with the gate.
  • Garage conversions and gyms often have the TV on the old exterior block wall.
  • Upstairs bonus rooms: we check for a fire block at 4 feet before running cables inside.
  • Historic Miramar homes often have only two-prong outlets — we recommend a surge protector with a grounded outlet.

TV mounting in Miramar, FL: common questions

How much does TV mounting cost in Miramar?
$119 up to 60 inches, $129 for 61–85 inches, $40 for each extra TV. No travel fee.
Can you hide the wires in my Miramar home?
On framed walls, yes — inside the wall with a code-compliant power kit.
Can you mount a TV on a shared townhome wall?
We can mount on it, but we do not open shared walls for cables; we use a raceway instead.
Do you mount TVs in garage gyms?
Yes — usually on block, with sleeve anchors.
Same-day in Miramar?
Usually yes.
Does my Miramar HOA need to approve a TV install?
For a TV inside your home, usually not, but check your rules. Lanai and exterior-wall TVs are different: many boards here want a written request first, and we can supply photos and mount details for the form.
Can wires be hidden in an original Historic Miramar house?
Rarely inside the wall, since solid concrete has no cavity. A slim raceway painted to your wall color is the clean answer. If the TV can move to a framed interior partition, Mykhailo can often run the cords inside with a listed in-wall power kit.
How fast can you get to Miramar?
He covers Miramar along with nearby Davie, so most weekday morning requests get a same-day slot. Send your community, gate instructions, TV size and wall type, and you get a flat price, such as $129 for a 65-inch, before booking.
