TV Mounting in Hollywood, FL

Hollywood is one of the oldest towns we serve, platted by Joseph Young in 1921, and its walls show it: hollow clay tile, plaster on block, old paint. Yevhen covers most of our Hollywood visits, often the same day, and confirms a flat price after one look at the wall.

TV mounting in Hollywood is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for concrete block.

Mounting TVs in Hollywood Lakes homes, beach condos and Emerald Hills

Hollywood Lakes homes are 1920s–40s block or hollow clay tile with plaster, a few with wood-frame second floors. We treat each wall on its own — tile needs longer anchors set into the web, block takes standard sleeve anchors, framed walls take lag bolts.

Beach and Broadwalk condos are concrete with steel partitions and salt air on every balcony. Inside, snap-toggles or concrete anchors; outside, stainless only.

Emerald Hills and Hillcrest are larger block homes with framed interior walls — good for in-wall cables and big family-room screens.

Beach condos and hotel-condos

Many Broadwalk units are rented by the week. We install with tamper-resistant hardware, keep cables in raceways and work around the building's rules for contractors — condo mounting.

Patio and pool TVs

Covered patios in Emerald Hills and around the lakes get stainless hardware and sealed cable entries — outdoor TVs.

Commercial screens downtown

Restaurants and bars around Young Circle and Hollywood Boulevard call us for multi-TV walls and menu boards. We use tamper-resistant hardware, route cables in conduit or raceway that passes inspection and schedule before opening. Commercial jobs are quoted per project.

Family rooms in Emerald Hills

Emerald Hills family rooms are big and often have a fireplace or built-ins. We check the heat above the mantel, anchor into the structure behind built-ins rather than the cabinet itself, and keep the screen near seated eye level.

Homes in Hollywood by the numbers

72,843 homes and about 155,082 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.

What this means for your TV wall

Hollywood's homes are among the oldest we serve: the median year built is 1969, and 27.8% of units went up before 1960. Expect plaster, hollow clay tile and block far more often than drywall, so we check what sits behind the surface before choosing an anchor. Another 30.2% of units are in buildings of 20 or more, where the association sets drill hours and decides whether a wall may be opened at all.

Reading a Hollywood wall by the decade it was built

A Hollywood wall usually gives away its age before the stud finder does, and the age decides the hardware. City preservation staff describe the earliest vernacular houses as wood frame or masonry, with block and clay tile finished in stucco, so two homes on one Lakes street can need different anchors. In hollow tile, Yevhen sets long anchors into the tile web; in the 1950s–70s block houses of Hollywood Hills, sleeve anchors go into the web of the block, never a mortar joint. Many of those 1960s houses also have drywall on furring strips over the block, so the mount needs a spacer. Old paint is the other issue: in any home built before 1978 we treat it as possible lead paint and drill through tape with a HEPA vacuum at the bit. Our plaster wall guide explains the slow pre-drilling.

Historic board, condo boards and storm season

In the Lakes Area historic district, the Historic Preservation Board's Certificate of Appropriateness covers exterior changes such as new windows, so for a patio TV we look for a cable route that stays inside. Older condo buildings around Young Circle go through a 40-year recertification with engineering reports, and boards in the middle of one rarely approve opening a wall. Beach towers guard their balconies just as closely. Send your building's contractor rules with the request; Yevhen brings the certificate of insurance the manager asks for. Hurricane season runs until November 30, and the American Planning Association counts 18 hurricanes within 60 miles of the city from 1876 to 2005, so we also take patio TVs down before a storm and re-hang them after. A full-motion arm is $69; a painted raceway is $39. Send a request for a same-day slot.

Old paint on the surround meant lead-safe drilling: tape, a HEPA vacuum at the bit, and anchors in the masonry, not the mortar.

On-site notes from Hollywood jobs

  • Hollow clay tile is common in Hollywood Lakes; we carry longer anchors and toggles for it.
  • Broadwalk parking fills early on weekends — morning appointments are easier.
  • Hotel-condo units often need approval from both the owner and the hotel management.
  • Hollywood Beach condos east of A1A usually require COI and elevator booking 48 hours ahead.

TV mounting in Hollywood, FL: common questions

How much does TV mounting cost in Hollywood, FL?
$119 up to 60 inches and $129 for 61–85 inches, mounts from $39. No travel fee.
Can you mount a TV in a 1920s Hollywood Lakes home?
Yes. We identify block, tile or framing and use the right anchor for each wall.
Do you install TVs in beach rental condos?
Yes, with tamper-resistant hardware and raceways, following building rules.
Can you hide the cables?
Inside framed walls, yes. On block, tile or concrete we use a slim paintable raceway.
Same-day in Hollywood?
Usually yes; Hollywood is between our Miami and Fort Lauderdale routes.
Can a TV go over my Hollywood Lakes fireplace?
Usually, yes. On a gas or wood fireplace Yevhen takes a surface reading with the fire on; if the wall runs hot, the TV goes higher on a tilting mount or to a side wall. Details are on our fireplace TV page.
I rent near the beach. Will the TV come off cleanly?
Yes. On block or concrete the anchors leave a few small holes to patch, and the cables hide in a surface raceway that comes off with the TV. The power cord never goes inside the wall unless a listed in-wall power kit is installed.
What should I send before booking a condo install?
A photo of the TV wall, the TV size, your building's contractor rules and the manager's email. We reply with a flat price, send the certificate of insurance and book the service elevator, so a same-day visit is often possible.
