Weston Hills Country Club house

Weston is Arvida's planned town, from the first 1984 homes in Country Isles and Windmill Ranch to Savanna, plus the Bonaventure district. Many family rooms were built around a tube TV and now need a flat-screen plan. Marian, our west Broward technician, can usually come the same day at a flat price.
TV mounting in Weston is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for concrete block.
Most Weston homes are concrete block on the ground floor with wood-framed interior walls and upper floors. Family-room TV walls are usually interior partitions — perfect for lag bolts into studs and in-wall cables.
Tall walls under 18–20-foot ceilings are common. The structure is still studs at 16 inches; the question is height, not holding power.
Newer homes in Botaniko and The Ridges often have pre-wired TV walls with conduit — we use it rather than cutting new holes.
In Weston, visible cables are the exception. We install a UL-listed power kit ($69), run HDMI through the wall to a media cabinet or a floating shelf, and add a soundbar bracket under the TV — soundbar and floating shelf.
85-inch screens are common in Weston family rooms, and some rooms have a fireplace below the TV wall. We check the heat, keep the screen near eye level and use a heavy-duty mount across two studs — TV over a fireplace.
Weston homes often have a home office and a garage gym. Offices get a TV or monitor mounted beside the desk for video calls; gyms get a fixed mount on block with the cables in a raceway away from equipment. Each extra TV in the same visit is $40.
23,227 homes and about 68,837 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.

U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020–2024 5-year estimates: year built, units in structure, tenure.
Weston's median home was built in 1995, and 67.9% of units date from 1980–99, so most TV walls we meet are Arvida-era: block outside, wood-framed partitions inside, and drywall that has had thirty years of nail holes and repaints. With 63.3% detached houses, the usual job is a family room, not a condo. The 11.1% in buildings of 20+ units are different: shared walls, association approval and often a raceway instead of an in-wall run.
Many homes in Country Isles, Windmill Ranch and the villages that followed came with a deep recess or plant shelf sized for a tube set. That box is now too small for the screen people buy and too shallow to hide a mount. If the studs beside it are clear, the TV goes on the flat wall and the niche becomes a display shelf. A wide niche can take a low-profile mount inside, with vent space left behind the set. Centering the screen over a closed-up opening needs backing and drywall work first, so we quote that separately. Thirty-year-old walls also hide abandoned cable plates; we locate them before drilling. No TV power cord goes inside the wall: hidden power means a listed in-wall kit. Check viewing height with the height tool.

Weston is one of the places in our region where we install the most pull-down mounts, mostly in Weston Hills homes with a gas fireplace under a tall wall. Every gas fire gets a test burn before we choose the height. Stone surrounds get a second look, because stone veneer is not structure: anchors pass through it into the block or framing behind. Assembly and tuning of a pull-down mount is $99; see mantel mount installation.
Bonaventure grew before the city existed, and its condo buildings answer to their own associations. Expect a certificate of insurance request and hollow-block walls, where anchors go into the web of the block, never a mortar joint; our concrete wall guide explains why. If opened walls are off the table, HDMI runs in a paintable raceway to the cabinet.
A few jobs from the last months — the kind of walls and setups we see here most.

The original tube-TV niche was too shallow, so the TV went on the studs beside it.
