A wall-mounted TV looks finished only when everything under it is too: the soundbar lined up, a slim shelf for the streaming box or console, and no cables. In Miami we do this on concrete block most of the time — which changes the hardware, not the result.
The layout

Check the soundbar's weight against the bracket rating, and leave the soundbar's sensors and ports reachable.
Floating shelves on Miami walls
Glass or wood shelves carry media devices well. On concrete block we use sleeve anchors; on drywall, studs where possible. Keep heavy receivers off floating shelves — a floating TV stand ($79–$149) is sturdier for real gear.
Cables for three devices
TV, soundbar and a box on the shelf means power and HDMI for each. On block walls a single paintable raceway from the TV down past the soundbar to the shelf keeps it to one tidy line; on framed walls, an in-wall kit hides everything. Details: hiding HDMI and power cables.
Connect the soundbar by HDMI eARC, not optical. One remote controls the volume, and the cable run is the same.
