Sunrise grew out of Norman Johnson's 1960 Sunrise Golf Village, so most homes here date from the 1960s to the 1990s: block condos in Sunrise Lakes, block-and-frame houses toward Sawgrass. Marian, who covers central Broward for us, knows both walls and can usually come the same day at a flat price.
TV mounting in Sunrise is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for concrete block.
Sunrise Lakes condos are 1970s concrete block with plaster. Sleeve anchors into the block, and a raceway for the cables because the association does not allow opening walls.
Welleby, Springtree and Sawgrass Lakes homes are block exteriors with framed interiors — lag bolts into studs and in-wall cables on interior walls.
Offices and restaurants around Sawgrass are usually steel studs with drywall, sometimes with backing already installed for screens; where it is not, we add it.
Restaurants, gyms and offices near Sawgrass Mills call us for menu boards, conference-room TVs and lobby displays. Commercial installs use tamper-resistant hardware and cable management that passes inspection; they are quoted per project — menu boards and signage.
In Sunrise Lakes most installs move a TV from a stand to the wall. We hang it at seated eye height, which is lower than most people expect — TV height chart.
Welleby and Sawgrass Lakes homes are mostly one- and two-story block-and-frame houses. Living-room TVs go on interior partitions with cables inside the wall, and bedroom TVs get slim tilting mounts. Game days at the arena bring a lot of requests for patio TVs too.
Short-term and seasonal rentals near the arena and Sawgrass Mills get tamper-resistant hardware and removable raceways, and we can work between guest stays.
40,030 homes and about 97,918 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.

Sunrise is mostly a 1960s-to-1990s city: 40.2% of its homes date from 1960–79 and another 43.5% from 1980–99. The older share is largely concrete block under plaster, so we anchor into the block and carry cables in a paintable raceway; newer houses have framed interior walls that take lag bolts and in-wall kits. Gas matters here too: 8.9% of homes heat mainly with utility gas, which is why a surface thermometer comes to every Sunrise fireplace wall.
Most Sunrise Lakes calls start with a TV that has sat on a dresser for years and an owner who wants the floor back. Each phase has its own association office, so we ask for your building number first and check what the board expects: usually our certificate of insurance, set working hours and no cuts in the plaster. Florida condo law also bars owners from anything that weakens the common elements, one more reason we keep the work on the surface. The walls are hollow concrete block, and every anchor goes into the solid web of a block, never a mortar joint. Cables then run in a slim raceway painted to match, which adds about 30 minutes and costs $39. Small rooms here usually suit a 50- or 55-inch. Unsure how high to go? Try our height tool before the visit.

Shenandoah, Hawks Landing and Sawgrass Lakes filled in during the 1980s and 1990s, the years the corporate park (1987) and Sawgrass Mills (1990) arrived. Outside walls are block, but family-room partitions are usually wood studs, so the cleanest finish is a listed in-wall power kit with a recessed outlet behind the screen; a TV's own cord is never allowed inside the wall. On exterior block we switch to cable concealment with a raceway instead. Gas fireplaces are the other local detail. Marian lights the fire, lets it run and reads the wall before choosing a height; about 1 in 4 readings sends the TV higher on a tilting mount or to a side wall. The 65-inch is our most-mounted size in the region, at a flat $129 for 61 to 85 inches. Neighbors in Plantation and Weston get the same crew.
A few jobs from the last months — the kind of walls and setups we see here most.

The outlet was across the wall; a listed in-wall power kit now feeds a recessed outlet behind the arm.

The test burn read too warm at the natural height, so Marian raised the TV and tilted it toward the sofa.
