Sun City Anthem, Anthem Country Club and the highlands

Sun City Anthem homes are single-story, drywall on wood studs with niches in the living room. We often mount a little lower on a tilting mount ($49) for comfortable viewing from a recliner. TV height by room.

Strip-view patios

Patios facing the Strip get outdoor-rated TVs under deep roofs, weather-rated mounts and stainless hardware. Wind on the hillside means arms fold flat and lock. Outdoor TVs.

What this means for your TV wall

Anthem's median home was built in 2005, and 54.9% of homes date from the 2000s, the decade most of its foothill neighborhoods went up. For a TV wall that means wood studs behind drywall, builder media niches over gas fireplaces and pre-set outlet heights that rarely suit today's larger screens. Most jobs are in detached houses, and the 38.5% of households who rent usually ask for a paintable raceway instead of wall openings.

Matching the mount to your corner of Anthem

Each Anthem neighborhood hands us a different wall. Sun City Anthem means a single-story great room with a builder niche, an equipment cabinet across the room and, often, a soundbar for clearer dialogue; cables travel over the ceiling instead of down one stud bay. Anthem Highlands and Anthem Park, the all-ages villages, lean toward two-story family rooms, where about 1 in 3 walls we open hides a horizontal fire block between the openings.

The Country Club is one of five custom-home enclaves where most of our valley pull-down mounts go. After a heat reading, Vasyl assembles the arm for $99, recesses its housing into a wood-framed chase when the chase allows, and on stacked stone anchors through the veneer into the framing, since stone is a face, not structure. That job takes about 2.5 hours over a framed chase.

Booking a visit up the hill

Three in five of our valley jobs happen on the day they are booked, and Anthem requests land on Vasyl's route, since he works the Henderson side of the valley. Screens of 86 inches and up bring Mykyta along as a second technician. For the Country Club, put the gate and street in your request so we are on the list when we pull up. From June to September we take attic and patio work before 11 am. Steep foothill driveways are no trouble; we carry large screens in ourselves.

Indoors, Nevada lets owners alter their own unit as long as structure and shared systems are untouched, so a living-room TV usually needs no sign-off. Outside walls are another matter, since each Anthem association reviews exterior changes on its own. If you rent, tell us; a raceway that comes off cleanly is the usual answer.

TV mounting in Anthem, NV: common questions

Can you mount the TV lower for easier viewing?
Yes — we measure from your seat, usually with a tilting mount.
Do you work in Anthem Country Club?
Yes; send gate details and we'll be on the guard's list.
How much does TV mounting cost in Anthem?
$119 up to 60 inches, $129 up to 85 inches, no travel fee.
Can you mount a TV on a Strip-view patio?
Yes — outdoor-rated TV, weather-rated mount, locked against the wind.
Can you hide the cables inside the wall in Anthem?
In most homes, yes — $69 per TV; in the customs we run to an equipment closet.
Will a new TV fit in my Sun City Anthem niche?
Sometimes a 55-inch does; larger TVs go on the flat wall beside the niche.
Can my Sun City Anthem cables run through the attic?
Usually, yes. In a single-story home the HDMI lines can go over the ceiling to a cabinet across the room, with power through a listed in-wall kit; the TV's own cord never runs inside a wall. Concealment is $69 per TV.
Is my Anthem fireplace too hot for a TV above it?
We check on the visit: Vasyl runs the fireplace and reads the wall above the firebox before drilling. On about 1 in 4 jobs the reading moves the TV higher or onto a tilting or pull-down mount instead of the flush one you planned.
Do I need HOA approval for a patio TV?
Often. Nevada law requires association permission to change a home's exterior appearance, and each Anthem sub-community has its own review. Ask your association first, then send a request and we will book you a cool morning slot.
