Windsong Ranch great room
The stone mantel stuck out 17 inches, deeper than the motorized model clears, so Andrii switched to a manual pull-down that clears 18 inches.

Almost three in four Prosper homes went up since 2010, from the lagoon streets of Windsong Ranch to Star Trail and Gentle Creek Estates. Andrii, who leads our Collin County crew, mounts TVs here on great-room walls, stone fireplaces and covered patios, often the same day you call.
TV mounting in Prosper is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for stone or brick.
New construction here uses 2x6 exterior walls and straight interior studs, with builder blocking and a low-voltage box where the plans showed a TV. We confirm the blocking before trusting it and add a new in-wall run ($69) when the furniture layout moved the TV.
Floor-to-ceiling stone fireplaces are usually cast or cultured stone over framing. Anchors go through the veneer into studs, and for a 20-foot wall a pull-down mount (assembly $99) keeps the screen from ending up at 90 inches. Stone and uneven surfaces.
Dedicated theater rooms get 85 to 100-inch screens. Two technicians handle anything from 86 inches (from $179), with heavy-duty mounts rated well above the TV weight. Mounts for 85-inch TVs.
Covered patios with a fireplace and a kitchen want an outdoor-rated TV above the fireplace or on the house wall. Weather-rated mounts, stainless hardware, sealed connectors for humid summers and hail season. Outdoor TVs.
11,921 homes and about 37,869 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.
88% owner-occupied · 12% rented
U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020–2024 5-year estimates: year built, units in structure, tenure.
Median year built here is 2014 and 72.1% of homes date from 2010 or later, so instead of plaster or pre-1978 paint we meet builder pre-wire boxes, fresh drywall and stone fireplace chases. With 87.9% of homes owner-occupied, most calls come from owners planning a room for years, not renters who need it off clean at move-out. Gas heat is the norm here, so most family-room fireplaces burn gas logs, and each gets our 20-minute heat test first.
Prosper's Building Inspections Division exempts low-voltage wiring, painting and flooring from permits, so a TV with hidden HDMI usually needs nothing from the Town. Electrical work, patio covers and pergolas do need permits. Want a new outlet behind the screen? Your electrician pulls that permit first and we mount afterward. A cord-connected in-wall power kit ($69) plugs into the existing outlet instead, and the TV's own cord never runs inside the wall.
The HOA is a separate gate, set by each neighborhood's deed restrictions. About 1 in 3 of our outdoor jobs in Prosper, Frisco and McKinney start with the association's exterior rules, while indoor walls almost never need a letter. For a patio TV, send us a photo of the wall and we'll list the mount, cable cover and hardware for your committee.

Windsong Ranch spans about 2,030 acres, and only about a quarter of its planned homes stood when Tellus Group took it over, so many Prosper visits are in houses a few months old. In the Darling, Drees and Highland homes we see, the builder's TV box often sits high over the fireplace. About 1 in 3 fireplace customers in two-story great rooms end up 12 to 18 inches lower than that box. Andrii tapes the outline, runs the gas logs at full output for 20 minutes and reads the surface before drilling. If the height or the reading fails, a pull-down mount brings an 85-inch screen to eye level, with two technicians and 2.5 to 3 hours on site. Try the height tool, then book the visit with your screen size and mantel depth.
A few jobs from the last months — the kind of walls and setups we see here most.

Consoles sit in a hall closet, so Andrii ran HDMI through the attic and down the wall to a listed in-wall power kit.

Too shallow to hang the screen 4 feet back from the open edge, so a full-motion arm folds it flat; anchors went into brick, not mortar.
