TV Mounting in Frisco, TX

Frisco grew from 33,714 residents in 2000 into a city of master-planned streets, cast-stone fireplaces and builder TV niches that often sit a little too high. Andrii's Collin County crew has hung 80+ TVs here, usually the same day, at a flat price quoted before anyone drills.

TV mounting in Frisco is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for stone or brick.

New builds, media rooms and outdoor living

Family rooms in Phillips Creek Ranch, Starwood and Newman Village are tall, with a cast-stone or cultured-stone fireplace and a builder's TV niche or low-voltage box above it. We check the box, the blocking and the heat before hanging anything; when the mantel is high, a pull-down mount ($99) is the Frisco favorite.

Media rooms get the big screens — 85 to 100 inches. Up to 85 inches is $129; 86 and up start at $179 with two technicians and a heavy-duty mount. Mounts for 85-inch TVs.

Outdoor living TVs

Covered patios with outdoor kitchens and fireplaces are standard. We mount outdoor-rated TVs on weather-rated mounts with stainless hardware, into the framing or masonry, and protect connectors from humid summers and spring hail storms. Outdoor TVs.

When the pre-wire is in the wrong spot

Builders place the TV box before the furniture exists. If yours is off-center or too high, we add a new in-wall run with a UL-listed power kit ($69) where the TV actually belongs.

Homes in Frisco by the numbers

80,353 homes and about 219,304 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.

What this means for your TV wall

Frisco's housing is young: 46.7% of homes were built in 2010 or later, so plaster and old brick are rare. We mostly meet wood studs, tall drywall chases faced in cast stone and pre-wired boxes. Gas is the main heat in 54.2% of homes, so every fireplace wall starts with a heat reading. The 21.1% of units in buildings of 20 or more bring lease rules and raceway instead of in-wall runs.

Niche, chase or the wall below: picking the Frisco fireplace spot

Most Frisco family rooms pose one question: use the niche over the fireplace or not. Andrii starts with a tape and a 20-minute burn at full output, then reads the surface at the niche floor and at the spot where your eyes land from the sofa. In our Frisco fireplace work, 26+ TVs, the answer splits three ways. If the niche is deep enough and reads cool, a low-profile tilt ($49) sits inside it. If it is shallow, a slim fixed plate goes in. If the niche is too high, the TV drops below it and the niche turns into a shelf. Try the height tool with your seating distance before the visit, and see how our fireplace installs are planned. The stone face is veneer, not structure, so anchors go into the chase framing behind it.

Patio TVs under Frisco HOA rules

Frisco counts more than 200 HOAs, and the covered patio is where their rules meet our work. Committees rarely mind the TV under your cover; they review the cable cover, conduit or a new exterior outlet. Before we book, Andrii sends a short plan you can forward to the architectural committee. For years the city required 75% masonry on a home's first floor, so many 2000s patios put us on brick veneer, where anchors go into the brick, never the mortar. That rule stopped being enforced in 2019, so some newer patios are siding over studs, which we mount into the framing. Either way the screen stays 4 feet or more inside the cover's edge, with stainless hardware and a sealed cable entry. Send a patio photo through our request form, or read about outdoor TVs.

From our Frisco job log

A few jobs from the last months — the kind of walls and setups we see here most.

Starwood family room

  • 75-inch
  • cast-stone gas fireplace niche
  • low-profile tilting

The niche was too shallow for the owner's tilt mount. After a 20-minute burn read fine, Andrii fitted a low-profile tilt that sits inside it.

Phillips Creek Ranch living room

  • 65-inch
  • drywall chase below a builder niche
  • fixed

The niche sat too high for comfortable viewing. A heat reading well below it passed, so the TV hangs at eye level and the niche holds photos.

Covered patio in an HOA neighborhood

  • 65-inch outdoor-rated
  • brick veneer
  • tilting

The HOA approved the exterior cable cover first. Andrii painted it to match the trim, sealed the wall entry and plugged the TV into the patio GFCI.

On-site notes from Frisco jobs

  • New homes can be in a builder warranty period — our mounting doesn't affect it.
  • HOAs regulate exteriors; covered-patio TVs are normally fine.
  • Traffic around The Star on game days — we plan around the schedule.

TV mounting in Frisco, TX: common questions

Can you use my builder's pre-wired TV box?
Yes, if it's in the right spot. If not, we add a new in-wall run for $69.
Do you mount TVs on outdoor fireplaces?
Yes, with an outdoor-rated TV and weather-rated mount, after checking the heat.
How much does TV mounting cost in Frisco?
$119 up to 60 inches, $129 up to 85 inches, no travel fee.
How long does a Frisco media-room install take?
About two hours for a 98-inch screen with hidden cables and a soundbar, with two technicians. A standard 65-inch in a family room takes about an hour.
Can you mount a TV in a Frisco loft or game room over the garage?
Yes. Bonus rooms over garages sometimes have attic kneewalls instead of full studs, so we confirm the framing first and add a backer where needed.
How fast can your crew get to a Frisco home?
Andrii's crew is based in Collin County, so same-day visits are common when you book early. Tell us the screen size, the wall and whether there is a fireplace, and the flat price is set before we arrive.
Is a permit needed for an outdoor fireplace TV?
Building a new outdoor fireplace in Frisco takes a residential permit with a plot plan, an elevation and a gas-or-wood note. Mounting comes after: once it is built, we run it at full output and read the surface.
Renting near Frisco Station — can you skip opening the wall?
Yes. We fasten into two studs, leaving small holes to fill at move-out, and run cables in a paintable raceway ($39) instead of cutting drywall. Many complexes want our insurance certificate first; we send it ahead by email.

What customers near Frisco say

★★★★★

“Twenty-foot wall, stone fireplace, 85" TV — two other companies would not touch it. Andrii brought a second guy and the right ladder, and it is dead level. He moved it down about a foot from where the builder put the outlet and he was right, it is much better to watch.”
