Northridge is old orchard land turned into 1960s and 70s tract ranches, with new five-story student buildings rising around Cal State Northridge. Kostiantyn's Valley crew mounts TVs in both: over brick and gas-log fireplaces in the ranches, and on fresh drywall under strict leases near campus, often the same day.
TV mounting in Northridge is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for plaster or brick.
Ranch homes in Northridge Estates and Devonshire Downs are wood frame, and a surprising number have plywood behind the drywall on the walls that were reinforced after 1994 — a strong base for heavy TVs. We still confirm the studs, because the retrofits sometimes moved them, and cables go inside the wall with a power kit ($69).
Rentals and condos near CSUN are drywall on wood or steel. Tenants need small holes and a removable raceway ($39); many landlords here allow a slim mount if the holes are patched. Apartment TV mounting.
Every job in Northridge gets the full anchor set: two studs, every lag bolt the mount allows, and the safety locks engaged so the TV can't lift off the plate in a shake. Full-motion arms are locked in position when not in use.
Northridge summers pass 100°F. Patio TVs go under solid covers with outdoor-rated screens; indoor sets in west-facing family rooms get a few degrees of tilt against glare. Outdoor TVs in LA.
11,618 homes and about 30,699 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.

With 40.2% of homes built in 1960–79, most Northridge houses are postwar wood-frame tracts with a brick or slump-stone fireplace, and many carry post-1994 drywall patches that hide where studs sit. Yet 34.7% of homes are in buildings of 20+ units, mostly near CSUN, so plenty of jobs here start with a leasing office rather than a hearth. Utility gas heats 62.8% of homes, which is why we test wall heat over gas logs.
Most Northridge ranches went up on former orchard land in the postwar building rush, and the fireplace usually anchors the long living-room wall facing the sofa. Expect painted used brick, slump stone or a later gas insert. Before picking a height, Kostiantyn runs any gas logs and measures the wall above the firebox; if it reads too warm just over the mantel, the TV goes higher on a tilting mount ($49). Our height tool shows where the screen would land from your seat. The 1994 quake left marks too: USGS counted fallen chimneys among the signs of strong shaking, and some chimneys around here were rebuilt above the roof. We anchor only into brick that sounds solid when tapped, never into a mortar joint, and treat stone veneer as a finish, reaching framing behind it. Details on our fireplace TV page.

The newest Northridge housing is the student stock around CSUN: Aspire, 146 units at Nordhoff and Darby, and Ensemble, 118 units at 9530 Reseda, with more planned near Corbin and Halsted. Walls are new and flat; leases are the hard part. Many managers ask for a certificate of insurance, which we usually issue the same day. Cutting drywall is often off the table, so cables ride in a painted raceway ($39) that comes off cleanly at move-out; our raceway guide explains it. The TV's power cord never runs inside the wall or in the raceway with HDMI; it plugs into a nearby outlet, or a listed in-wall power kit where cuts are allowed. Roommates sharing one room often choose a full-motion arm that swings toward the kitchen. Send your building's rules with your request and we will plan around them.
