Overton runs along NV-169 at the south end of the Moapa Valley: an old town grid by the railroad, newer homes on streets like Ishimoto, and alfalfa fields beyond. Mykyta drives out from Las Vegas to mount TVs in farmhouses, mobile homes and shops at flat valley prices.
TV mounting in Overton is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for stucco or stone.
Older farmhouses may have plaster, paneling or block walls, often remodeled over the years. We find out what's behind before drilling and choose the anchor for each wall.
Manufactured homes and newer builds are light panels or drywall over wood studs. We find the studs, span them with the right mount and keep heavy TVs close to the wall. Choosing a wall mount.
Covered porches get outdoor-rated TVs on weather-rated mounts; barns and shops get TVs too, priced like any other room. Outdoor TVs.
Rock walls and old masonry need levelling and the right anchors. Mounting on stone and uneven walls.
Inside the wall for $69 where the framing allows; otherwise a paintable raceway for $39.
1,707 homes and about 3,309 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.

Nearly half of Overton's homes, 46.1%, went up between 1980 and 1999, so most living rooms are drywall on wood studs. Another 37.3% are counted as 2–4 units and other, which here likely means manufactured and mobile homes with thin panels, where we tie the mount into the studs. Only 4.8% heat mainly with utility gas, so a fireplace under the TV is more often propane, wood or electric, and we read its heat first.
Overton is about an hour past the edge of Las Vegas, so we plan each visit as a full working trip. Mykyta covers the Moapa Valley along with Mesquite and Indian Springs, and he groups calls by day: when he already has a job in Logandale or Mesquite, an Overton booking can often be done the same afternoon. Three things make the day go smoothly. First, photos of each wall and the spot where the TV will hang, so he loads the right anchors and mount before leaving town. Second, the TV size and model: a 75-inch for the den runs $129, and a tilting mount is $49. Third, a list of every screen in the house, shop and porch, because adding one more on site takes far less time than a second drive out.

The compact grid between the Union Pacific tracks and Main Street holds modest early-1900s houses, and plenty of local families came from St. Thomas, the town Lake Mead covered in the 1930s. Decades of remodels mean one room can mix original plaster, later paneling and a block addition, so Mykyta probes each wall with a small test hole before choosing a spot. Newer homes on the edges of town are frame and drywall: cables drop inside the cavity with a listed in-wall power kit, and the TV's own cord never goes in the wall. On block, or when you prefer no cutting, a paintable raceway is anchored into the web of the block, not the mortar joints; more on hiding cables. Porch TVs face spring wind and blowing dust, so our outdoor installs use mounts that lock in place.
A few jobs from the last months — the kind of walls and setups we see here most.

The studs were thinner than in a site-built house, so Mykyta chose a plate wide enough to catch two.

The owner watches from the workbench and the truck bay, so the arm was bolted through plywood into the posts.
