Villages at Tule Springs new build
Warm air from the electric insert rises up the wall, so the screen sits above its path; cables run through the builder's chase.

In North Las Vegas the address tells us the wall: block and plaster in the older Northtown streets, and builder drywall with pre-wire boxes from Craig Ranch up to Tule Springs. Mykyta covers this side of the valley and can often mount your TV the same day.
TV mounting in North Las Vegas is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for stucco or stone.
New homes in Eldorado, Tule Springs and Valley Vista have straight studs at 16 inches and often a builder pre-wire box. If it's in the right spot, the job is quick; if not, a new in-wall run is $69.
Older homes near downtown may have block walls or plaster. We use sleeve anchors into block, find framing behind plaster, and use a paintable raceway ($39) where the wall can't be opened.
New orders, new house, boxes everywhere: we mount the TVs first so the family has a living room. When the next move comes, taking the mounts down is $49 and we patch the holes.
Open floor plans take 75 to 85-inch TVs ($129); 86 inches and up is $179 with two technicians. Mounts for 85-inch TVs.
Covered patios get outdoor-rated TVs on weather-rated mounts, out of the afternoon sun. Outdoor TVs.
16,442 homes and about 51,341 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.

U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020–2024 5-year estimates: year built, units in structure, tenure. Census figures for ZIP Code 89030 — there is no separate Census boundary for North Las Vegas.
These Census figures cover the 89030 ZIP area, the city's older core rather than the new north end. The median home there was built in 1975 and 43.2% date from 1960–79, so we expect concrete block, plaster and walls repainted many times. With 64.7% of households renting, many TVs go up with a paintable raceway that lifts off cleanly at move-out, and we ask about lease rules before drilling a single hole.
North Las Vegas began as a thin 1910s subdivision that filled in after the Army Air Corps gunnery school, today's Nellis, opened in the 1940s; the city incorporated in 1946. Tracts such as Wilshire Village and Manch Manor already show on 1973 aerial photos. Many of these houses have concrete block walls, so the bracket hangs on sleeve anchors set into the hollow web of each block, never a mortar joint. On plaster we locate the framing first and bolt into wood.
Most homes here are rented, so we plan for move-out day. On block that cannot be opened, a paintable raceway ($39) carries the HDMI line, and the power cord goes straight to an outlet; it never rides inside the raceway or the wall. Our renter's guide to hiding wires is worth showing your landlord.

North of Craig Road the city is young. It annexed about 60 square miles of desert in the 1990s, Aliante opened in 2003, and the Villages at Tule Springs is planned for up to 8,683 homes. About half of the new homes we visit have a builder pre-wire box behind the TV wall, and roughly 1 in 3 of those boxes sits wrong for the screen the family bought.
About 1 in 3 of our fireplace jobs in this city sits above an electric insert that pushes warm air up the wall. We read the surface heat with the unit running, then set the height or choose a tilting mount ($49); gas fireplaces get the same test. Read our notes on mounting above an electric fireplace, or see how niches differ in Aliante.
A few jobs from the last months — the kind of walls and setups we see here most.

The pre-wire box sat too low; we tagged its cable for future use and ran a new in-wall line with a listed power kit.

No cavity to fish through: sleeve anchors into the block's web, power cord straight to the outlet, painted raceway for HDMI only.

“Both rooms done in one visit and every cable is gone. He used a proper in-wall power kit instead of running an extension cord behind the drywall — I asked specifically because the last installer did not.”
