Sun City Mesquite single-story home
The builder niche was barely deep enough, so a low-profile plate kept the screen inside its frame.

Mesquite is a young town for a homeowner: most houses went up after 2000, many in Sun City Mesquite around Conestoga Golf Club, others on the Falcon Ridge fairways or in Old Town Mesquite. Mykyta drives up I-15 from the valley, same day when his route allows, and mounts every TV in the house in one visit.
TV mounting in Mesquite is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for stucco or stone.
Homes from the 1990s onward are stucco and wood frame with drywall. Two studs and lag bolts hold large TVs; cables go inside the wall for $69.
Fireplace walls in the larger homes are stone or tile. We check the heat, anchor through the veneer into framing and add tilt when the TV sits high. TV over a fireplace.
Arriving for the winter? Book the week you get in: we mount the new TVs, take down the old ones ($49) and set up the remote and inputs before we leave.
Patios facing the course get outdoor-rated TVs on weather-rated mounts with stainless hardware, out of the afternoon sun. Outdoor TVs.
A Samsung Frame flush on the wall with the box hidden, or a soundbar under the TV for $69. Frame TV installation.
12,438 homes and about 22,059 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.

U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020–2024 5-year estimates: year built, units in structure, tenure.
The median Mesquite home was built in 2004, and 28.1% went up in 2010 or later, so most TV walls we meet are wood studs behind smooth or lightly textured drywall, with builder outlets that are easy to plan around. Only 5.3% of homes heat mainly with utility gas, so we always ask what sits under the TV: an electric insert, a vented gas unit or no fireplace at all, since each changes how high the screen can go.
Pulte is still building in Sun City Mesquite, so many calls come from owners who just closed on a single-story home near Conestoga. Those great rooms often have a builder niche; Mykyta measures its depth before promising a size, since a 65-inch on a low-profile plate may fit where a 75-inch will not. Falcon Ridge homes, part of the Anthem Mesquite association, run larger, with stone or tile fireplace surrounds; the mount goes into framing behind the veneer, never into the stone face alone. Highland Hills, Mesquite Vistas and Canyon Crest mix 1990s and 2000s stucco houses where the outlet often sits too low for the screen. When a renter or an older Old Town house rules out opening the wall, a paintable raceway at $39 carries the HDMI lines neatly. Unsure about height? Try our height tool.

Because Mykyta comes up from the valley, we plan a Mesquite visit as a whole-house job. Send a photo of each wall, the TV sizes and any mounts you already own, and he loads the van once: drywall brackets, a listed in-wall power kit for the living room, a tilting mount at $49 for a bedroom set above a dresser. The TV's power cord itself never goes inside a wall; the listed kit carries power behind the drywall, or an electrician adds an outlet behind the screen. Mesquite is one of seven municipalities voting on Southern Nevada's electrical-code amendments, so the rules match Las Vegas. Nevada law lets owners alter their own unit if structure and exterior stay untouched, but a patio TV in an HOA community needs the association's approval first. Ready? A heat reading over the gas fireplace set the height; long anchors passed through the stone into studs.

A dead coax line blocked the cavity; Mykyta pulled it out, then ran a listed in-wall power kit.
