Las Vegas homes are mostly wood-framed drywall behind a stucco exterior — good news for the Frame. The walls are usually flat, studs are where they should be, and the one thin One Connect cable can almost always go inside the wall.
What's typical in the valley
- Summerlin and Henderson new builds: drywall on 16-inch studs, wide open great rooms, big windows.
- Older central Las Vegas homes: drywall with heavy texture — the texture can hold the bracket off the wall by a hair, so we flatten the contact points.
- Condos near the Strip: metal studs and concrete, HOA and building rules.
The sun problem
Desert light is brutal. A Frame on the wall facing a west window at 4 p.m. is a mirror, matte screen or not. We look at the room's light before choosing the spot and, where possible, put the Frame on a wall perpendicular to the windows.
One Connect: where it goes
Most Vegas great rooms have a built-in niche or a console under the TV — the cable drops inside the wall to it. In media niches with no outlet, an in-wall power kit adds one. Hiding TV wires in the wall.
Patios
People ask to put the Frame outside by the pool. It's not an outdoor TV; summer patio temperatures in Las Vegas run far above its limits. For the patio, see outdoor TV installation.
Bezels, art and the finishing touches
The magnetic bezel goes on last, after the TV is level — it adds a few millimeters of depth, so we check the wall gap with it attached. Then we set up Art Mode together: brightness and color-tone sensors on, the motion sensor on so the screen sleeps when the room is empty, and a first set of art loaded so it looks right from day one. In bright Las Vegas rooms, a matte bezel in a light wood or white finish reads more like a real frame than black.
Height
Art height or TV height — decide which one it is. For a main TV, the height calculator gives the center height for your seating.
