TV Mounting in Spring, TX

Spring holds two housing eras in one sprawling town: wood-paneled 1970s dens around Klein and Champion Forest, and the newer two-stories of Windrose, Spring Trails and Gleannloch Farms. Our north crew, led by Yurii, is based here, so same-day slots open often and the flat price comes before any drilling.

TV mounting in Spring is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for brick or stone.

Wooded 1970s–80s subdivisions and newer golf-course homes

Older homes in Champion Forest and Northgate Forest have wood-paneled dens, vaulted ceilings with beams and full-height brick fireplaces. Paneling is nailed to studs, so we find the studs by the nail lines; on brick, sleeve anchors go into brick faces. Cables that can't go inside run in a paintable raceway ($39).

Gleannloch Farms and Augusta Pines are 2000s homes with drywall on wood studs, tall family rooms and stone fireplaces. Two studs and lag bolts, a check of the heat above the firebox and cables inside the wall ($69) cover most jobs. TVs over fireplaces.

Vaulted ceilings and beams

Vaulted dens with exposed beams look great and make TV placement tricky: the fireplace wall is tall and the natural spot is too high. We place the screen near seated eye level, and a tilting mount ($49) helps when the TV has to sit higher.

Golf-course patios

Augusta Pines and other golf communities have covered patios facing the fairways. Outdoor-rated TVs with stainless hardware go under the roof and away from stray golf balls. Outdoor TVs.

What this means for your TV wall

Spring's median home dates from 1993, but that middle figure hides a split: 29.4% of units went up between 1960 and 1979, and most of the rest after 2000. With 85.6% detached houses, nearly every job is a single-family wall: nailed paneling and full-height brick on older Klein-area streets, wood studs and stone-faced fireplaces in newer master plans. Almost every house sits on slab, so a cable to another wall goes up through the attic.

Klein-era dens or a Windrose two-story: what your wall needs

Tell us your subdivision and we can usually guess the wall. The older wooded streets of Champion Forest, Northgate Forest and Klein bring wood-paneled dens and brick chimneys that run to the ceiling. Windrose (roughly 2,200 homes) and Gleannloch Farms (nearly 3,200 homes) came later, with taller family rooms and stone around a gas insert. In the newer rooms, the builder's TV outlet often sits higher than a seated eye line, which is why we measure before drilling.

Mounting a 65- to 85-inch TV is a flat $129; assembling a pull-down mantel mount adds $99. Check your eye line first with our height tool.

After Beryl: a storm-ready TV wall in Spring

Beryl cut power to about 2.26 million CenterPoint customers in July 2024, and Spring Fire handled about 300 storm calls. Afterward, the questions we heard most here were about power, not brackets, so we plan for it on install day:

  • Surge protection. We leave the outlet free for a surge strip. The TV power cord never goes inside the wall; hidden runs use a listed in-wall power kit.
  • Fewer holes. A soundbar hung on the TV mount means one set of holes and one piece to take down.
  • Patio screens under pines. Before any named storm we will take an outdoor TV down and rehang it afterward, so a falling limb or flying debris has nothing to hit.
  • Morning attic runs. From June to September we schedule attic cable work early, before the heat builds.

On-site notes from Spring jobs

  • Tall pines drop branches in storms; we don't mount outdoor TVs where a limb could hit them.
  • Old Town Spring shops want screens mounted before opening — we schedule early mornings.
  • I-45 and the Grand Parkway are both close — our north crew reaches Spring quickly.

TV mounting in Spring, TX: common questions

Can you mount a TV on wood paneling in my Spring home?
Yes. Paneling is nailed to studs, so we anchor through it into the studs behind.
My fireplace wall has a vaulted ceiling — where should the TV go?
As close to seated eye level as the mantel allows; a tilting mount helps if it has to go higher.
Is there a travel fee to Spring?
No. Spring is priced like the rest of Houston: $119 up to 60 inches.
Can you install TVs for a business in Old Town Spring?
Yes, before opening hours, with cables run neatly in raceways.
Does my HOA need to approve an indoor TV?
Usually not; HOA review typically targets exterior changes, so check your community rules before a street-visible patio TV. A small satellite dish on your own lot is protected by the FCC's OTARD rule, though common-area roofs can still be restricted.
Can the TV sit below the builder's niche?
Often, yes. About 1 in 3 of our two-story fireplace customers end up 10 to 16 inches below the builder's outlet. We heat-test first, mount on the face below and use the high niche for a cable box.
I rent near Klein. Can cables hide without cutting drywall?
Yes. Paintable raceway carries the HDMI and other low-voltage cables on the wall surface, while the TV's power cord reaches the outlet without entering the wall or raceway. It comes off cleanly at move-out; see our raceway guide.
