Tomball keeps adding streets: Amira, Raburn Reserve and Sorella are filling in new two-stories, while Lakewood Forest and Wimbledon Falls hold the 1980s and 1990s houses, and nearly half of homes are rented. Yurii's Spring crew drives over most weeks, so a same-day slot is usually open, with a flat price set before we drill.
TV mounting in Tomball is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for brick or stone.
Homes on acreage are often farmhouse-style with board-and-batten or shiplap walls inside and big covered porches. Shiplap is a solid surface — we anchor through it into the studs. Metal buildings and shops have steel framing or wood purlins; we mount to the framing, never to sheet metal alone.
Northpointe and Creekside Park homes are drywall on wood studs with stone or brick fireplaces. We use sleeve anchors in stone faces, not mortar, and bring cables down inside the wall when the chimney chase allows it. Brick and stone veneer.
A TV in the shop is a Tomball classic. Dust and heat are the enemies: we mount high enough to stay out of the way of equipment, recommend a screen rated for the temperature and run cables in metal or PVC raceway ($39).
Outdoor kitchens and fire pits under a roof are common on acreage. Outdoor-rated TVs, stainless hardware and sealed cable entries keep them working through humid summers. Outdoor TVs.
5,565 homes and about 13,655 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.
52% owner-occupied · 48% rented
U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020–2024 5-year estimates: year built, units in structure, tenure.
Tomball splits almost evenly between owners and renters: 48.1% of homes are rented, and 20.2% sit in buildings of 20+ units, so apartment walls with lease limits are as common here as family rooms. The median home dates from 1994, which means many living rooms still carry the builder's original gas-log fireplace and a single outlet low on the wall. On those, we heat-test first and often move the cable box out of sight.
More than a quarter of Tomball's homes went up after 2010. Hines lists 391 lots at Raburn Reserve, Johnson Development plans Sorella for about 750 families, and Amira covers 484 acres near TX-99 and Hwy 249. The drywall is easy; height and power are the real questions. Builders often set the TV outlet or niche high over the fireplace, and we usually hang the screen lower, at the eye-level figure the height tool gives for your sofa distance. The City of Tomball works under the 2021 International Residential Code and charges double the permit fee for unpermitted work, so a brand-new receptacle stays an electrician's job. Our in-wall cable concealment uses a listed power kit that plugs into the existing outlet, and the TV cord never goes inside the wall. A 61- to 85-inch screen starts at $129, and hiding the cables adds $69.

With nearly half of homes rented, a big part of our Tomball calendar is apartments along FM 2920 and Hwy 249 and leased houses. Most leases allow a few screw holes, so Yurii mounts into two studs and runs paintable raceway; our renter guide explains the choices. Lakewood Forest, Wimbledon Falls along Kuykendahl Road and the Lakes at Creekside hold houses where the family room has an original brick or stone gas-log fireplace and the cable box sits in a cabinet across the room. Each fireplace gets a 20-minute burn and a heat reading first. When the box has to move to a closet, the HDMI goes up through the attic, because the slab offers no path underneath; from June to September we book those runs for the morning. Neighbors toward Spring get the same crew.
A few jobs from the last months — the kind of walls and setups we see here most.
