Pasadena Heights 1950s ranch
The brick paint predated 1978, so Serhii drilled just four anchor holes with dust collection and never touched the firebox.

On Pasadena's north side most houses went up before 1960, often with a painted-brick fireplace in the den; toward Armand Bayou they get younger. Serhii of our Bay Area crew handles most of our 40+ Pasadena TVs. Send a wall photo and we can often come the same day.
TV mounting in Pasadena is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for brick or stone.
Brick ranch homes from the 50s to 70s have wood studs and drywall inside, sometimes paneling, and often a brick fireplace wall in the den. Two studs and lag bolts hold any TV up to 85 inches; on brick, sleeve anchors go in the brick faces. Brick and stone.
Village Grove and newer neighborhoods are drywall on wood studs with open family rooms. We mount into two studs and run cables inside the wall with a power kit ($69), or in a paintable raceway ($39) when the wall can't be opened.
Many Pasadena dens still have an old corner cabinet or a mount from a previous TV. We take down the old mount ($49) and put the new TV on the right wall at the right height. Drywall mounting.
Covered patios and carports turned into outdoor rooms are common. Outdoor-rated TVs with stainless hardware go under a solid roof, out of blowing rain. Outdoor TVs.
53,756 homes and about 149,433 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.
54% owner-occupied · 46% rented
U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020–2024 5-year estimates: year built, units in structure, tenure.
In Pasadena 23.4% of housing units predate 1960, so our work often meets aged drywall, wood paneling and painted brick. Because 45.5% of homes are rented, we plan for move-out as often as a forever wall: raceway that comes off clean, one set of holes, a mount the next tenant can reuse. Utility gas heats 48.2% of homes, and many dens keep gas logs, so a heat test comes before any fireplace TV.
Pasadena's housing age runs on a north–south line. The city's 2023 fair-housing study found that most northern block groups have a median build year before 1960, and only a handful of tracts have one after 1980. That tells Serhii what to load in the van.
In Park View Manor, where the median house dates to about 1962, and in Pasadena Heights, the TV usually faces a painted-brick den fireplace or original paneling, so he brings a dust-collecting masonry bit and raceway. Parkview Estates, around 1966, and Red Bluff run a little newer, with textured drywall that gets tested before we cut. On the south side toward Armand Bayou, open stud bays make an in-wall cable run quick. Give us your street when you book and we will tell you what to expect, or request a quote with a wall photo.

About half of the 12+ fireplace TVs we have mounted in Pasadena went over painted brick, and most of those dens still burn gas logs. Before drilling, Serhii runs the logs at full flame for 20 minutes and reads the surface where the screen will hang. If it reads too hot, the TV moves beside the chimney breast, above a deeper mantel shelf, or onto a pull-down mount, with assembly at $99. See our fireplace TV service for the full process.
Where a remodel glued stone veneer over the old brick, we treat the veneer as a finish, not structure, and anchor through it into the brick behind. On brick, cables ride in paintable raceway down the chimney edge; the TV's own power cord never shares it or goes inside a wall. Check the viewing height first with our height tool.

After a clean texture test, Serhii cut two small openings and fished the low-voltage run past a horizontal brace.

Paneling hid irregular garage framing, so Serhii located studs first and ran the cables in paintable raceway.
