Dark plank paneling hid the studs; Serhii found them with a probe hole behind the plate and ran paintable raceway down a groove to the outlet.

Clear Lake is Houston's corner of ZIP 77058: Clear Lake City houses that Friendswood Development planned in the 1960s, deed-restricted streets in Camino South and Oakbrook, and apartment complexes lining the lake and NASA Parkway. Our Bay Area crew is minutes away, so homeowners and renters often get a same-day TV install.
TV mounting in Clear Lake is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for brick or stone.
Original Clear Lake City homes have wood studs, drywall or paneling, and brick fireplaces. Stud spacing is standard, so two studs and lag bolts cover almost every job; on brick, sleeve anchors go in the faces. Drywall mounting.
Lakeside condos and apartments often don't allow opening walls. We mount into studs with minimal holes and hide cables in a paintable raceway ($39); condo associations get our certificate of insurance. Apartment mounting.
Remote engineering work means a lot of home offices here. We mount wall displays and TVs used as monitors at eye level for a seated desk, level to within a hair, with cables hidden inside the wall ($69).
Homes on the water and in Bay Oaks have covered patios facing Clear Lake. Outdoor-rated TVs, stainless hardware and sealed cable entries handle the humid bay air. Outdoor TVs.
11,168 homes and about 17,850 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.

Clear Lake is mostly a renters' area: 68.8% of households rent, and most live in apartment complexes and condos near the water. Behind most of those walls are wood studs and drywall, with a lease that limits holes. The houses run older than the newer master plans to the south, with a median year built of 1984 and 40.4% built between 1960 and 1979, so paneled dens and original brick fireplaces are common here.
Four in ten homes here went up between 1960 and 1979, and their dens still show it: plank paneling, a brick fireplace wall, a slab underfoot. Paneling hides studs well, so Serhii confirms each one with a probe hole that the mount plate will cover. Cutting paneling for a recessed box rarely looks right, so on those walls the cables go in a paintable raceway. On drywall the in-wall route works, but about one in four runs in pre-1980 houses meet a horizontal fire block, adding roughly an hour. The power cord never travels inside the wall by itself; it goes through a listed in-wall power kit. With no crawl space, a run to a bookcase across the room climbs through the attic, and from June to September we book those for the morning.

More than two thirds of Clear Lake households rent, so many of our calls come from complexes around the lake, off Bay Area Boulevard and along NASA Parkway, often from people who expect to move within a year or two. Most of these buildings are wood-framed: the mount goes into two studs with lag bolts and leaves four small holes. Check the lease first, since some complexes want written approval and others simply bill for patching. A raceway painted to match the wall hides the cables; our renter wire guide compares options. A 65- or 75-inch screen is $129, and a soundbar can hang from the TV mount so the wall gets no extra holes. When you move, we take it all down and can rehang it in Webster or wherever you land. Send a quick request with your TV size and complex name; same-day visits are common.

The lease allowed small holes only. Serhii lagged the arm into two studs and hung the soundbar from the mount, so the wall got one set of holes.

Gas logs under a deep brick mantel: the 20-minute burn read fine at the planned spot, and sleeve anchors went into solid brick, never the mortar.
