TV Mounting in League City, TX

League City is two towns in one: 1950s brick ranches in Bayou Brae and Marshall Addition near the old downtown, and two-story houses in Tuscan Lakes, Victory Lakes and Magnolia Creek built since 2000. Serhii's Bay Area crew mounts TVs in both, often same day, and knows where Harvey left new drywall.

TV mounting in League City is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for brick or stone.

Marina-side homes, new master plans and the historic district

South Shore Harbour homes and condos face the water with big windows and covered balconies. Indoors we plan the TV away from the glare; outdoors we use outdoor-rated screens, stainless hardware and sealed cable entries against the salt air. Outdoor TVs.

Tuscan Lakes, Victory Lakes and Magnolia Creek are drywall on wood studs with tall family rooms and stone fireplaces. We check the heat and blocking above the firebox, and cables go inside the wall ($69). TVs over fireplaces.

Salt air and outdoor hardware

Within a few miles of the bay, ordinary steel rusts in a season. Every outdoor mount we install here is stainless or powder-coated, the screen is outdoor-rated, and cable entries are sealed. We angle the TV away from the afternoon sun off the water.

Corner TVs in open floor plans

Open family rooms with windows on two sides leave one corner for the TV. A full-motion mount ($69) on the adjacent wall swings it toward the sofa or the kitchen. Tilt vs. swivel.

What this means for your TV wall

Most League City walls are young: the median home dates from 2003 and 27.4% went up in 2010 or later, so we expect wood studs at 16 inches and a builder TV outlet over the fireplace. Detached houses make up 77.1% of homes, so attic access for cable runs is usually there. The catch is history: a flood rebuild can hide fresh blocking and a seam about four feet up, so we scan before marking a hole.

After Harvey: the hidden seam in League City walls

After Harvey in 2017, many of the houses we enter in Victory Lakes and Bayou Brae had their lower walls cut out and replaced. Behind the paint there is often a horizontal joint around 4 feet up, backed by new flat blocking between the studs. That blocking is good news for a soundbar bracket and bad news for a cable fished from the TV down to the outlet. Serhii finds it with a scanner, then either drills through it from a small access hole or moves the run one bay over. Lag bolts still go into the studs; the blocking is only a bonus. We never run the TV's own power cord inside the wall: in-wall power goes through a listed in-wall power kit, priced as $69. If you would rather nothing gets cut, a paintable raceway is $39, and renters, who make up 25.3% of households here, like that it comes off clean.

Brick ranch dens and Tuscan Lakes family rooms

The Marshall Addition and Bayou Brae ranches were built between 1950 and 1958, just outside the historic core. Their dens usually have a low brick fireplace with a wide hearth, so a tilting mount ($49) sets the screen at a comfortable height. On patched old brick our anchors go into solid brick, never a joint. Work inside the house needs no Certificate of Appropriateness; that review covers exterior changes visible from the street, so a porch TV there is another matter. Tuscan Lakes and Magnolia Creek give us two-story family rooms with cast-stone gas fireplaces and a builder niche set high. Every fireplace job starts with a 20-minute burn and a surface reading; when it runs hot, we move the TV to a pull-down mount or the wall beside the chase rather than gamble. Screens of 86 inches and up get a second technician from the Bay Area crew.

From our League City job log

A few jobs from the last months — the kind of walls and setups we see here most.

Bayou Brae ranch den

  • 55-inch
  • original brick fireplace + post-Harvey drywall
  • tilting

Mortar patches filled the brick at the planned height, so Serhii set the anchors one course higher in solid brick.

Victory Lakes family room

  • 65-inch
  • drywall rebuilt after Harvey
  • fixed

New blocking crossed the cable path; we drilled it through a small access hole and patched the hole, playing-card size.

Tech: Serhii · On site: 1 h 45 min

Mar Bella two-story

  • 75-inch
  • drywall-faced gas fireplace chase
  • full-motion

The burn test read too hot above the firebox, so the TV went beside the chase on a full-motion arm.

On-site notes from League City jobs

  • Hurricane season: we can take outdoor TVs down before a storm and put them back up after.
  • I-45 traffic toward Galveston on summer weekends is slow — weekday slots are easier.
  • Historic district homes have plaster walls; we drill slowly and anchor into the studs.

TV mounting in League City, TX: common questions

Will an outdoor TV survive the salt air in League City?
An outdoor-rated one with stainless hardware and sealed connections, under a solid roof, will.
Can you take my outdoor TV down before a hurricane?
Yes. Taking it down is $49; putting it back up is the regular rate.
How much does TV mounting cost in League City?
$119 up to 60 inches, $129 up to 85 inches, no travel fee.
Do you work in South Shore Harbour condos?
Yes, with a certificate of insurance for the association and elevator coordination.
My League City house was rebuilt after Harvey. Does that change the install?
New blocking behind the patch line gives a soundbar bracket something solid, and Serhii scans for it before planning the cable route. Send photos of the wall through our quote form and mention the flood repair.
Does a downtown historic-district TV need city approval?
Not for an indoor TV. League City's Certificate of Appropriateness covers exterior changes visible from a public right-of-way, in addition to building permits. A porch TV seen from the street may need one before we mount it.
How high should the TV go over a Tuscan Lakes fireplace?
Lower than most builder niches suggest. In two-story rooms about 1 in 3 of our fireplace customers end up 10 to 16 inches below the builder's outlet. Try your sofa distance in our height tool, and we confirm with the burn test.
