Goose Creek frame cottage
Nothing showed through the plaster, so Serhii opened a small test hole behind the TV's footprint and lagged into both studs.

Baytown grew from three oil towns, Goose Creek, Pelly and East Baytown, that agreed to merge in 1947, so its homes run from refinery-era cottages to 2021 builds in Wooster Trails. Serhii and our Bay Area crew mount TVs in both, often the same day, at a flat price.
TV mounting in Baytown is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for brick or stone.
Country Club Oaks, Lakewood and Goose Creek have brick homes with wood paneling, long den walls and brick fireplaces. We find studs behind paneling by the nail lines and use sleeve anchors in the brick faces. Brick and stone.
New subdivisions along I-10 are drywall on wood studs with open family rooms and game rooms. Two studs and lag bolts, with cables inside the wall ($69), are the standard job. Drywall mounting.
Workshops and covered patios are where Baytown watches the game. In garages we mount to the framing and run cables in raceway ($39); on patios, outdoor-rated TVs and stainless hardware. Outdoor TVs.
Family homes often want the living room, the game room and the primary bedroom done at once. Each additional TV is $40, and 86 inches and up start at $179 with two technicians.
34,125 homes and about 85,205 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.
52% owner-occupied · 48% rented
U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020–2024 5-year estimates: year built, units in structure, tenure.
Baytown's old core is real: 20.5% of homes predate 1960, dating to the refinery towns around Goose Creek, so we expect plaster, paneling and the odd ungrounded outlet there. Meanwhile 47.7% of households rent and 16.9% of homes sit in buildings of 5 to 19 units, where leases usually allow small holes only. That split sets the plan: lag bolts and listed in-wall power kits for owners, two studs and removable paintable raceway for tenants.
Baytown's walls follow its history. When Humble Oil built its refinery on the Ship Channel, it planned company housing with water, lights and shelled roads, and the oldest homes we work in near Goose Creek are small frame houses from those decades. Behind the paint we often meet plaster on wood lath, so Serhii cuts a small test opening before promising a recessed box, and drives long screws into studs rather than trusting the plaster (plaster walls).
Wooster Crossing and Wooster Trails are a different job: recent builds, some from around 2021, with open family rooms of drywall over wood studs. Trinity Oaks, billed as the city's first master-planned community on about 190 acres near Tabbs Bay, will add more. There the puzzle is the builder's outlet placement and the distance to the cable box, which is where hidden cables pay off.

Rented houses and apartment complexes fill a big part of our Baytown calendar, and the plan starts with your lease. Most allow small fastener holes; few allow cutting drywall. Serhii finds two studs, hangs the TV, and runs the cords down a slim channel you can paint to match. The TV's power cord stays outside the wall the whole way: a cord inside a wall breaks the electrical code, and no landlord wants that hole either.
Moving across town or over to La Porte? We take the TV down, fill the anchor holes and hang it again at the new address; a dismount on its own is $49. Shift workers at the plants often ask for early-morning or late-afternoon slots, and we keep both open. Send a photo of the wall and the outlet through the quote page.

The builder's outlet sat low and off-center; Serhii fitted a listed in-wall power kit plugged into it and fished the HDMI alongside.

Gas logs below: Serhii ran a 20-minute burn and read the brick, then anchored into solid brick, clear of mortar joints.
