Grand Prairie grew from a wartime aircraft town into a city spread over three counties, with 1950s ranches near downtown and fresh two-stories around Joe Pool Lake. Ivan's Fort Worth crew has mounted 30+ TVs here, and we plan each visit around your wall and the outlet you already have.
TV mounting in Grand Prairie is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for stone or brick.
Mira Lagos, Grand Peninsula and Lake Parks homes from the 2000s–2010s are brick and stone outside, drywall on 16-inch studs inside, with cultured-stone fireplaces and game rooms. Cables go inside the wall ($69); anchors go through veneer into framing.
Older ranch homes near downtown have brick fireplaces and sometimes paneled dens. We drill the brick face for sleeve anchors and find studs behind paneling with a small test hole.
Joe Pool Lake homes have covered patios facing the water; outdoor-rated TVs, weather-rated mounts and stainless hardware keep them working through humid summers. Outdoor TVs.
85-inch screens are common in the newer homes. Up to 85 inches is $129; 86 inches and up start at $179 with two technicians. Mounts for 85-inch TVs.
71,853 homes and about 201,883 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.

U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020–2024 5-year estimates: year built, units in structure, tenure.
A median year built of 1992 means most Grand Prairie walls we open are drywall on wood studs with clear bays, so an in-wall cable run is usually quick. The 10.1% of homes built before 1960 differ: post-war ranches near downtown with brick fireplaces, thick paint and the odd brace mid-bay. And with 41.3% of homes rented, many households want small screw holes and a raceway that comes off cleanly at move-out.
Grand Prairie requires an approved permit for all electrical work, and the council adopted the 2023 National Electrical Code in December 2023. On a TV wall that touches one thing: power behind the screen. For most hidden-cable jobs here Ivan fits a listed in-wall kit whose cord plugs into the outlet you already have, so no circuit or receptacle is added; it is $69 per TV, and the TV's own cord never goes inside the wall. Want a true new outlet up high instead? Your electrician files through the city's online CSS portal, and residential permits take about 10 business days. Book us for after the inspection, or let Ivan hang the TV now and return for the cables. Outlet already fine? Ask for a same-day visit. Read how our in-wall concealment service works.

Grand Prairie's population leapt from 1,595 in 1940 to 18,000 by the end of World War II, when the North American Aviation plant employed up to 38,500 workers. Its post-war ranches still line the streets near downtown. Their brick fireplaces sit low and wide, so Ivan often tapes the screen's outline on the brick and lets you sit with it; sometimes a full-motion arm on the side wall wins. Down by the water, Grand Peninsula, Lake Parks and the newer Mira Lagos sections bring cultured stone over framed chases. Stone veneer carries no load, so anchors go to the framing, and every gas fireplace gets a 20-minute burn and a heat reading before we drill. Screens 86 inches or larger, at $179, bring a second technician. Eight of our Grand Prairie TVs hang over fireplaces; plan yours with the height tool.
