Cedar Hill splits along its ridge: established 1980s and 1990s brick subdivisions near US 67 on the east, and bigger custom lots running west to Joe Pool Lake. Ivan covers the town from the Grand Prairie side, so same-day slots are common and the flat price comes before any drilling.
TV mounting in Cedar Hill is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for stone or brick.
Most Cedar Hill homes are brick outside with drywall on wood studs and brick or stone fireplaces. We anchor into the masonry face or through veneer into framing and hide cables inside the wall ($69).
Hillside and Lake Ridge homes have big windows toward the view — we keep the TV off the window wall or add tilt for glare, and in open rooms a full-motion arm ($69).
Covered patios toward the lake or the skyline get outdoor-rated TVs on weather-rated mounts with stainless hardware; wind on the hilltops means arms fold flat and lock. Outdoor TVs.
75 and 85-inch TVs are common here: $129 up to 85 inches, from $179 for larger screens with two technicians. Mounts for 85-inch TVs.
17,499 homes and about 48,879 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.

U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020–2024 5-year estimates: year built, units in structure, tenure.
Nearly half of Cedar Hill's housing (46.9%) was built between 1980 and 1999, and 82.3% of homes are detached houses, so the usual TV wall is drywall on wood studs inside a brick shell, often next to a brick or stone fireplace. Only 19.4% of homes heat mainly with utility gas, so we meet plenty of fireplaces that burn wood or sit unused; either way, we run the fire before choosing the spot.
Cedar Hill runs along a ridge, and which side of it you live on shapes the job. On the east side near US 67, subdivisions such as High Pointe and Shamrock hold mostly 1980s and 1990s brick homes, where we hang from two studs or set sleeve anchors in full brick, never in a mortar joint. Head west toward Joe Pool Lake and custom builds take over; in Lake Ridge an acre lot, a tall wall and a stone fireplace are common. Bear Creek, between them, has smaller wooded lots. Stone is a finish, not support, so anchors reach the framing behind the veneer. Over any fireplace Ivan runs the fire for 20 minutes and reads the surface before marking a hole; a tilting mount ($49) helps if the safe spot sits high. More on fireplace TV installation.

Much of what is going up in Cedar Hill now comes with an association; Addison Hills by Bloomfield Homes, off Baldwin Drive, is one active example. Indoors, covenants rarely care where your TV hangs, but a builder's pre-wire box often lands a couple of feet from where the sofa ends up. Ivan cuts in a listed in-wall power kit right behind the screen, plugged into the outlet already there; the TV's own cord never goes inside the wall. A paintable raceway ($39) is the no-cut alternative.
Outside, the HOA matters: send the association a sketch of the patio spot and cable cover first; once approved, we bring an outdoor-rated set, stainless hardware and a sealed cable entry. Read about outdoor TV installation, check viewing height with the height tool, then send a request with a wall photo.

The pre-wire box sat far left of the sofa, so Ivan cut in a new in-wall kit behind the screen.
