Lexington Downs at Bridlewood two-story

Flower Mound is a town of owner-occupied brick houses, and much of it went up in one late-1990s rush across Bridlewood and Wellington. That left tall family rooms and builder outlets set high over gas-log fireplaces. Our North Dallas crew comes the same day, runs a heat test and sets the screen at eye level.
TV mounting in Flower Mound is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for stone or brick.
Stone fireplaces are cultured or Austin-style stone over framing. Anchors go through the stone faces into the studs behind, shimmed on uneven stone, and cables drop down the adjacent drywall. Stone and uneven surfaces.
New builds in Canyon Falls and Lakeside have straight studs and pre-wired boxes; older homes have open bays for an in-wall kit ($69). Either way, the cables disappear.
A MantelMount-style pull-down mount holds the TV above the mantel and brings it down and forward to eye level when you watch (assembly $99). MantelMount in Dallas.
Covered patios by the pool get outdoor-rated TVs, weather-rated mounts and stainless hardware; glare off the water is handled with a few degrees of tilt. Outdoor TVs.
28,789 homes and about 78,389 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.

U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020–2024 5-year estimates: year built, units in structure, tenure.
55.5% of Flower Mound homes were built between 1980 and 1999, so most living rooms we see are wood-framed drywall with a fireplace chase framed out from the wall. Utility gas heats 67.9% of homes, which is why gas logs sit under most of our TVs and every fireplace job opens with a heat reading. With 82.5% owner-occupied, most people want cables inside the wall, and the open stud bays usually allow it.
In January 1999 the town adopted its SMART Growth program, which paused new residential permits while commercial work went on. That helps explain why houses here came in distinct waves, and the late-1990s wave filled Bridlewood: Coventry, Lexington Downs, Remington Park and Bridlewood Farms, mostly built between 1998 and 2001. Builders of that era repeated a handful of plans, so Bohdan has opened the same chase and the same media niche on several streets. It shortens the visit. He often knows where the fireplace framing sits before the stud finder confirms it, and which bay beside it is clear for an in-wall power kit. Wellington's phases, from Wellington Estates to Brandywine and Hillcrest, have their own repeat plans. Canyon Falls is the exception: newer framing and builder boxes worth checking against your sofa with our height tool.

Two-story great rooms raise two questions. The first is heat. Gas logs dominate here, so Bohdan runs the fireplace at full output for 20 minutes and reads the surface where the TV would hang. He also keeps the gas valve clear. About 1 in 8 readings come back too hot; then the screen moves to the wall beside the firebox or onto a pull-down mount (fireplace TVs). The second is sound. An 18-foot ceiling is beyond what Dolby recommends for up-firing Atmos drivers, so we usually set the bar on the mantel; mounting a bar adds $69 (soundbar installation). One rule never bends: the TV's own power cord stays out of the wall, so hidden cables always get a listed in-wall power kit. A 61- to 85-inch TV starts at $129, and a morning request often gets a same-day slot.

Bohdan put the new Atmos bar on the mantel, since an 18-foot ceiling is past Dolby's guidance for up-firing drivers.
