TV Mounting in Redmond, WA

Redmond splits into two kinds of TV wall: the new mid-rise apartments and townhome rows around the Overlake Village and downtown light-rail stations, and the 1980s and 1990s two-stories on Education Hill and Grass Lawn. Ruslan's Eastside crew knows both, and most morning requests get a same-day slot.

TV mounting in Redmond is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for plaster or concrete.

What this means for your TV wall

Redmond's housing is young: the median home dates from 1993, so we almost never meet lath and plaster here. The bigger split is height. With 33.4% of homes in buildings of 20 or more units and 56.8% of households renting, a large share of our Redmond walls belong to apartment buildings with leases or associations to respect. On Education Hill the walls are usually wood studs behind half-inch drywall, ready for lag bolts.

Overlake and downtown apartments

Overlake is where Redmond is growing fastest. The city's Overlake Village plan counted an eight-story, 600-apartment building at Esterra Park, and 641 units have been proposed on Microsoft's former Building 22 site beside the station. Downtown adds condos and apartments along the Bear Creek Trail. For us that means move-in week calls: a renter with a fresh lease and a property manager who wants holes kept small. Ruslan finds the studs, sends the certificate of insurance when the building asks for one, and books the loading dock or elevator ahead. Cables usually go into a slim painted raceway ($39) because many leases and fire-rated corridor walls rule out cutting. If the wall turns out to be metal studs, see our metal-stud guide. Plan the screen height with our height tool before he arrives.

Education Hill family rooms

A typical visit on Education Hill or in Grass Lawn is a 1980s or 1990s house with a gas fireplace in the family room and a bonus room over the garage, and the family wants three TVs hung in one morning. Over the fireplace we run the fire for 20 minutes and measure the wall before choosing a height; if it runs warm, the TV goes higher on a tilting mount. A 75-inch is the usual family-room size here ($129). Where cultured stone wraps the chimney, the anchors go through the veneer into the framing, because stone veneer holds nothing on its own, the same approach we take in Sammamish great rooms. The TV's power cord never goes inside the wall: in-wall jobs get a listed power kit fed from the existing outlet.

Overlake Village apartment

  • 65-inch
  • wood studs + drywall

The lease allowed mount holes only, so Ruslan strapped the arm and ran a painted raceway.

Education Hill two-story

  • 75-inch
  • framed gas fireplace chase + drywall
  • tilting

$119 up to 60 inches, $129 up to 85 inches and $40 for each additional TV. No travel fee.

How fast can you get to Redmond?
Usually the same day or the next — our Eastside crew is close by.
Can you mount a TV on a covered deck in Redmond?
Yes. We use an outdoor-rated TV under a solid roof, stainless hardware that won't rust in the rain and a sealed entry for the power and HDMI cables.
Can you send a certificate of insurance to my Overlake building?
Yes. Send us the property manager's requirements when you book and Ruslan's crew issues the certificate naming your association or landlord, usually the same day. We also book the service elevator or loading dock before the visit.
