West Denton historic district bungalow
Real wood still burns here, so Ivan heat-checked with a live fire, then set sleeve anchors in the brick and left the 1920s mantel untouched.

Denton splits into two kinds of houses for us: 1920s frame bungalows raised on piers west of the Square, and brand-new builds spreading south toward Landmark and Robson Ranch Road. Ivan, who runs our Fort Worth crew up the I-35W corridor, handles both, often the same day you call, at a flat price with no travel charge.
TV mounting in Denton is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for stone or brick.
Oak-Hickory and the blocks near the Square have plaster over lath and old-growth studs. We find the studs with test holes, drill with the hammer off and use a painted backer when the framing is off center. Mounts for plaster.
Student rentals near UNT and TWU need small holes in two studs and a paintable raceway ($39); newer neighborhoods like Southridge and Rayzor Ranch have drywall on wood studs with open bays for an in-wall kit ($69). Best mounts for apartments.
In the 55-plus community we often mount a bit lower on a tilting mount ($49) so the screen is easy to see from a recliner, and keep remotes and inputs simple. TV height by room.
Music venues and bars around the courthouse use screens on old brick walls — sleeve anchors in the brick face, cables in a slim raceway, installed before doors open.
60,531 homes and about 152,866 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.
50% owner-occupied · 50% rented
U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020–2024 5-year estimates: year built, units in structure, tenure.
Denton is split down the middle: 50.0% of homes are rented, and 25.1% were built in 2010 or later, mostly on the south and west sides. Only 8.0% predate 1960, yet those frame Craftsman houses on piers need the most care. Renters get stud mounts and removable raceway; new builds have open drywall bays for an in-wall power kit; old bungalows often hide cables best through the crawl space under the floor.
The West Denton Residential Historic District is mostly frame houses on pier-and-beam foundations, with building peaking from 1923 to 1929. Attics in these Craftsman bungalows tend to be low and crowded, but the crawl space gives Ivan a straight path: low-voltage lines drop through a small hole behind the media cabinet, follow the joists and come back up where the TV hangs. The TV's own power cord never goes inside the wall or floor; it plugs into a listed in-wall power kit, or an electrician adds an outlet. Wood-burning fireplaces get a live-fire heat check first, and anchors go into solid brick, never a mortar line. Exterior work on landmarked houses in Oak-Hickory, West Oak and Bell Avenue goes through design review, so we keep cables and boxes indoors, out of sight from the street.

Half of Denton rents, and UNT's off-campus office alone lists 11 student apartment communities within walking distance of campus. For a lease, Ivan mounts into two studs and runs a paintable raceway to the existing outlet, so the wall patches easily at move-out. A screen up to 60 inches is $119, flat.
On the south side the story changes. Hillwood broke ground in December 2025 on Landmark, about 3,200 acres near I-35W and Robson Ranch Road, planned for roughly 6,000 houses. New drywall over wood studs means open bays, so hiding the cables inside the wall with a listed kit is $69 and adds about half an hour. Ivan's crew drives up from Fort Worth along I-35W, so Denton costs the same as anywhere in the Metroplex. Pick a time on the quote page and tell us the wall and screen size.

No attic over the living room, so Ivan ran the low-voltage line through the floor, across the crawl space and up behind the media cabinet.

The pre-wire faced the window, not the sofa; Ivan set a listed in-wall kit across from the seating and capped the builder's box.
