The family burns wood most winter nights, so Pavlo tested with a real fire first.

Glenview is two towns on one map: older brick-and-plaster streets near downtown and the Metra, and The Glen, built on the old naval air station with drywall, gas fireplaces and open family rooms. Pavlo, who leads our North Side crew, works both, usually the same day and at a flat price.
TV mounting in Glenview is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for plaster or brick.
Colonials and ranches have a family room with a brick or stone fireplace and a finished basement on a concrete foundation. Sleeve anchors in the brick faces upstairs, masonry anchors on the basement's concrete walls. Concrete walls.
The Glen homes are newer drywall on wood studs with open family rooms and gas fireplaces with TV niches. We check the heat and blocking, and cables go inside the wall with a power kit ($69). TVs over fireplaces.
Glenview basements get the big screens — 85 inches and up. 86 inches and up start at $179 with two technicians and a heavy-duty mount. Big TVs.
When the living room is for guests and art, a Samsung Frame keeps it that way — flush to the wall with one thin cable inside. Frame TVs.
19,207 homes and about 47,752 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.

U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020–2024 5-year estimates: year built, units in structure, tenure.
Half the village's homes date from before 1977, the median year built, and 28.8% went up in the 1960s and 70s — the split-levels, ranches and colonials where the TV wall is usually drywall on wood studs and the fireplace is brick. Newer houses, many of them at The Glen, put gas fireplaces in drywall-faced chases. With 61.8% of homes detached, most owners plan for years, so in-wall cables and a second TV downstairs come up often.
Near downtown and east of the tracks, houses from the 1920s to the 1950s can still have plaster on outside walls, so Pavlo drills a test hole before he picks anchors. The mid-century belt of ranches, split-levels and colonials is most of our Glenview work: a brick fireplace in the family room, studs elsewhere and a basement on poured concrete. Upstairs the bracket bolts into solid brick, never into mortar joints; downstairs, concrete anchors pass through the furring. The Glen is newer. The Navy base was picked for closure in 1993 and the Village acted as master developer, so the townhomes and houses that followed share modern framing: lag bolts into wood studs, a listed in-wall power kit for the cord, and a heat check over every gas fireplace niche. Check your viewing height before we come.

Most Glenview calls are for more than one TV: the family room over the fireplace, a big screen in the basement, sometimes a bedroom, all on one schedule. Over a gas or wood fireplace the first 20 minutes go to a full-output burn and a surface reading; if the spot runs hot, the TV goes higher with a tilt or onto the side wall. A 61-inch to 85-inch screen starts at $129, and a soundbar on the same mount adds $69. The TV's own power cord never goes inside the wall; a listed in-wall power kit carries power instead, as in our in-wall guide. Pavlo also covers Northbrook and Wilmette, so a Glenview slot often opens the same day. Send a request with a photo of each wall, and we confirm a flat price before anyone drills.

The niche read warm after the burn, so the TV went two inches higher.
