The Hisense U75QG against its lineup

6 of the 20 Hisense 65" models from 2024 to 2026 use 400 × 400 mm. The others use 400 × 300 (12), 400 × 200 (1) and 600 × 400 (1). 5 of them weigh more than this one. At 47 lb it is close to the 47 lb typical of 65" panels.

What changed from the 2024 Hisense U7N

55": 400 × 200 mm and 30.6 lb on the U7N, 400 × 200 mm and 33.3 lb now — the holes line up, check the old mount's weight rating.
65": 400 × 300 mm and 42.5 lb on the U7N, 400 × 400 mm and 47 lb now — new holes, check the old bracket's VESA range.
75": 400 × 400 mm and 60.2 lb on the U7N, 600 × 400 mm and 63.9 lb now — new holes, check the old bracket's VESA range.
100": 600 × 400 mm and 132.3 lb on the U76N, 800 × 400 mm and 136.7 lb now — new holes, check the old bracket's VESA range.

On the 85" nothing changed from the U7N: the old mount fits.

Screws, studs and height

Hisense lists different screws by size — the table above has each one. Use the screws with that thread from the bracket's kit, and stop if one bottoms out before the plate is tight: a spacer fixes that, force does not.

55 and 65": The holes are 15.7" apart side to side, close to 16" stud spacing, so the mount's arms and the studs line up easily.

75 and 85": The holes are 23.6" apart side to side, wider than 16" stud spacing — pick a bracket whose wall plate spans the studs.

100 and 116": The holes are 31.5" apart side to side, wider than 16" stud spacing — pick a bracket whose wall plate spans the studs.

With the centre at 42" for sofa seating, a 65" screen runs from about 26" to 58" off the floor. In a bedroom the centre goes 42–50". Work it out for your own seat →

Can the Hisense U75QG hang on drywall without studs?

No. Drywall alone is for TVs up to about 32" and 30 lb on rated anchors. The Hisense U75QG starts at 55" and 33.3 lb, so it needs bolts in the studs, or masonry anchors in brick or concrete.
