TV Mounting in Providence, NV

Providence went up fast after its first home sales in 2006, so most houses are young two-stories with builder niches, gas fireplaces and pre-wire boxes. Mykyta, who runs our northwest route, knows these floor plans and can usually mount your TV the same day, with the cables hidden.

TV mounting in Providence is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for stucco or stone.

Single-family homes, townhomes and family rooms

Single-family homes are drywall on 16-inch wood studs with gas fireplaces in cultured-stone or tile surrounds. We anchor into the studs beside the fireplace or through the veneer into framing, and cables go inside the wall ($69).

Townhomes share walls with neighbors; we mount on interior partitions and use a paintable raceway ($39) on party walls rather than cutting them.

Sound for open family rooms

Open kitchen-and-family rooms swallow TV sound. A soundbar on its own bracket ($69), connected by HDMI eARC, fixes it. Soundbars under a TV.

Patio TVs

Covered patios get outdoor-rated TVs on weather-rated mounts with stainless hardware, anchored into the framing through the stucco. Outdoor TVs.

What this means for your TV wall

With 43.0% of homes built in the 2000s and another 26.4% since 2010, Providence walls are almost all builder drywall on wood studs, friendly for hiding cables. The catch is what builders added: niches sized for 2006 screens, pre-wire boxes set low, and two-story great rooms with a fire block halfway up. Renters live in 29.2% of homes, so for a lease we often suggest a paintable raceway that comes off cleanly at move-out.

Builder niches and the first Providence floor plans

Focus Property Group began master-planning Providence around 2004, and builders such as Summit Homes built several of its neighborhoods from 2006 on. The early plans were drawn for smaller screens, so the media niche above the fireplace usually tops out at a 55- or 65-inch, and the low-voltage box often sits where a console once stood.

On a visit, Mykyta measures the niche, runs the gas fireplace and takes a surface reading above the firebox, then marks the TV height on the wall so you can judge it from the sofa; our height tool is a good first look. On about 1 in 4 fireplace jobs that reading moves the TV higher or onto a tilting mount. When the screen outgrows the niche, the flat wall above takes it and the niche holds the soundbar. Two-story great rooms, attics and lease-friendly walls

Many Providence plans open the family room to a second-floor ceiling. About 1 in 3 of those tall walls hides a horizontal fire block between the upper and lower openings; one extra small opening gets past it, and we patch and re-texture until it disappears. Cables travel with a listed in-wall power kit, never the TV cord itself inside the cavity, and dead builder coax gets pulled or tagged, as the valley's electrical amendments require. Hidden cables add about an hour on a wood-stud wall.

Single-story homes sometimes need an attic run to a media cabinet; from June to September we book those before 11 am. In townhomes and rentals, a paintable raceway leaves shared or leased walls uncut. Neighbors in Skye Canyon and Centennial Hills share Mykyta's route, so a same-day slot is often open.

TV mounting in Providence, NV: common questions

Can you hide the cables inside the wall in Providence?
In most homes, yes — $69 per TV.
Can you mount a TV on a townhome party wall?
Yes, into the studs, but cables go in a raceway rather than inside a shared wall.
How much does TV mounting cost in Providence?
$119 up to 60 inches, $129 up to 85 inches, no travel fee.
Can you add a soundbar?
Yes, $69 with the installation.
Can you mount a TV over the gas fireplace?
Usually — after a heat check, anchored into the studs beside the fireplace or through the veneer, with a tilting mount if it sits high.
Do you mount outdoor TVs in Providence?
Yes — covered patios get outdoor-rated TVs on weather-rated mounts with stainless hardware.
How long does an install take?
About an hour per TV with hidden cables; a second TV in the same visit adds 45 minutes or so.
Will a 75-inch fit our Providence builder niche?
Sometimes, on a low-profile plate, but most early niches here take a 55- or 65-inch. Send its width, height and depth with your request. If it won't fit, Mykyta says so before drilling and uses the wall above; a 61–85-inch install is $129.
Can you reuse the pre-wire box the builder installed?
Often, if it lines up with where the TV will hang. If not, we leave it, tag the old cable for future use and run a new line with a listed in-wall power kit. The TV's power cord never goes inside the wall.
What mount suits a two-story great room?
Usually a tilting one. Tall walls tempt people to hang the screen high, but it should sit near eye level from the sofa. We tape the height first; if it lands above the fireplace, a tilting mount ($49) angles the picture down.
