Desert Shores was built mostly between 1988 and 1998 around four man-made lakes off Lake Mead Boulevard and Buffalo Drive, so many living rooms still carry a builder niche sized for a tube TV. Mykyta, our northwest-valley technician, handles those 1990s walls for owners and renters alike, often the same day.
TV mounting in Desert Shores is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for stucco or stone.
Lake homes are stucco over wood frame, drywall inside, often with a living-room niche and a fireplace. Two studs and lag bolts; cables inside the wall ($69). Where the old niche is too small for a new TV, we mount beside it.
Villas and condos share walls and follow HOA rules. We mount on interior partitions, use a raceway ($39) on shared walls and schedule on weekdays.
Outdoor TVs by the lakes go under deep patio roofs on weather-rated mounts with stainless hardware; afternoon sun reflects off the water, so we pick a shaded wall. Outdoor TVs.
Samsung Frame TVs are popular in the updated lake homes — flush on the Slim Fit mount, One Connect box hidden in the niche or a cabinet. Frame TVs in Las Vegas.

With 81.4% of homes here built between 1980 and 1999 and a median year built of 1994, almost every wall we open is wood studs behind textured drywall, often with a niche framed around a deep tube television. Renters make up 49.2% of households, so a lot of our planning is about holes that patch easily and raceways that peel off. Condo and villa buildings of 5 to 19 units add party walls, where we stay on interior partitions.
A typical Desert Shores living room has a deep recess framed for a tube TV beside or above the fireplace. Mykyta measures the opening before anything is promised: if it is wide enough, the TV hangs inside on a low-profile plate; if not, it goes on the flat wall and the recess becomes a home for the soundbar, router or streaming box. Many of these niches hide old coax or speaker wire, and we pull dead cable out rather than bury it again. Above a gas fireplace we run the fire and take a surface reading first, because about 1 in 4 readings moves the TV higher or onto a tilting mount ($49). The TV's own power cord never runs inside the wall; we fit a listed in-wall power kit instead. Details: fireplace TV installation.

Nearly half of Desert Shores households rent, many in the condo and villa buildings on streets like Siena Circle and Bay Point Drive. Before we book, check your lease and ask the landlord or HOA about drilling; the association's rules are not published online, so a quick email saves a redo. On the day, Mykyta finds two studs on an interior wall, uses lag bolts sized for the mount, and keeps cables in a slim paintable raceway that comes off without damage. When the lease ends, we take the TV down ($49), fill the holes and can rehang it at your next place. If you are moving within the northwest, say to The Lakes or Summerlin, one booking can cover both ends. Renters' cable tips are in our no-cut wire guide, and cable concealment covers owners who want everything inside the wall.
