Small homes, manufactured homes and rentals

Site-built homes are wood frame with drywall or block. Two studs and lag bolts, or sleeve anchors into block, hold large TVs without trouble.

Manufactured homes have lighter wall panels and studs that may be 16 or 24 inches apart. We find the studs, choose a mount that spans them, and keep heavy TVs on fixed or tilting mounts close to the wall. Choosing a wall mount.

Military moves

PCS orders come fast. We mount the TVs when you arrive, and when you leave, taking the mounts down is $49 with the holes patched — the kind of wall you get your deposit back on.

Desert patios

Covered patios get outdoor-rated TVs on weather-rated mounts. Dust and wind are the enemies here, so we seal the cable entry and pick a sheltered wall. Outdoor TVs.

Rentals

Most rentals allow a mount; a paintable raceway for $39 hides the cables without opening the wall. Mounts for apartments.

What this means for your TV wall

The median home here was built in 1992, but the spread is wide: 31.4% of homes date from 1960–79 and 23.3% went up in 2010 or later. Older houses and manufactured homes often have paneling, 24-inch stud spacing or block, so we locate framing before choosing a mount. Newer homes are standard 16-inch studs and drywall, where in-wall cables are routine. Plenty are rentals, so many of our installs are planned to come off cleanly.

Sixty years of walls on a few streets

Walk a few blocks in Indian Springs and you cross about sixty years of building, each wave following growth at the base. Houses and manufactured homes from the 1960s and 70s often hide thin paneling and wide stud spacing, so Mykyta brings a wide plate that reaches two studs. The 1980s and 90s added block and wood-frame houses; in block, sleeve anchors go into the web of each block, never a mortar joint. Newer builds off Dawson Falls Avenue have 16-inch studs and a builder low-voltage box, so any mount works and in-wall cables are simple. More lots are coming: a 2022 request sought to rezone 10.1 acres along Boulder Lane for single-family homes, and a 2023 agenda listed a 17.4-acre development nearby. There the question is where the outlet landed. Our wall mounting covers all three.

Making the trip up US-95 count

Indian Springs sits about 35 miles northwest of Las Vegas, so every visit should finish the whole list in one stop. Mykyta covers the north and west of the valley, including North Las Vegas and the drive to Pahrump, so morning calls often fit the same day.

  • List every screen: bedrooms, a console wall, the patio set.
  • Send a photo of the wall so the right anchors ride along.
  • Decide on hidden cables now. An in-wall run with a listed power kit is $69; a TV power cord never runs inside the wall on its own.
  • Gas fireplace? We take a heat reading with the fire on before choosing the height.
  • On PCS orders? We pick mounts and raceways that come off cleanly at the next move.

Book a time, or check viewing height first with the height tool.

New build off Dawson Falls Avenue

  • 75-inch
  • wood studs + drywall
  • tilting

The builder's box sat off-center for the couch, so Mykyta tagged it for future use and ran a new line with a listed in-wall power kit.

1970s manufactured home near Gretta Lane

  • 55-inch
  • paneling over 24-inch studs
  • fixed

Studs were 24 inches apart behind thin paneling, so a wide plate reached two of them and kept the screen close.

Block house in the old part of town

  • 65-inch
  • hollow concrete block
  • full-motion

Sleeve anchors went into the block's web, not the mortar joints, and a paintable raceway carried the cables.

TV mounting in Indian Springs, NV: common questions

Do you come to Indian Springs?
Yes — same prices as Las Vegas, no travel fee.
How much does TV mounting cost in Indian Springs?
$119 up to 60 inches, $129 up to 85 inches.
Can you mount a TV in a manufactured home?
Yes — we find the studs and use a mount that spans them, keeping heavy TVs close to the wall.
Can you install on base housing at Creech?
If you can sponsor us onto the base, yes; homes in town need nothing extra.
Can you take the mounts down when I move?
Yes, $49 per mount, with the holes patched.
Can you come the same day?
Often, yes — book in the morning so the trip fits the day.
Do I need a permit for a TV mount here?
A plain wall mount normally needs no permit. Indian Springs is unincorporated Clark County, so work that does, such as a new outlet behind the TV, goes through the county and an electrician. Mounts, low-voltage cables and listed power kits we handle ourselves.
New build off Dawson Falls Avenue: what should I check?
Find the builder's low-voltage box and outlet before buying furniture; they are often placed for a generic layout. Send us a photo with wall measurements, and Mykyta will say whether the box suits your screen or needs a new in-wall run.
Can several homes share one trip?
Yes. If neighbors or coworkers from Creech book the same day, Mykyta lines the visits up back to back. Each home pays its own flat price, from $119 for screens up to 60 inches, with no charge for the drive.
