East Point packs four eras of housing into one small city: early-1900s houses in East Washington and River Park, 1940s cottages in Jefferson Park, brick ranches and garden apartments from the 1960s and 70s, and downtown lofts. Mykola, our south-side lead, knows each wall type and can often come the same day.
TV mounting in East Point is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for stone or plaster.
Original bungalows and cottages have plaster over wood lath and irregular stud spacing. We mark the surface, drill slowly and anchor into the studs behind the lath, with a wide mount when the studs don't match the TV. Mounts for plaster walls.
Renovated houses often have new drywall on part of the walls and original plaster on the rest — we check each wall before choosing anchors. Apartments near the airport usually need a paintable raceway ($39) instead of opening walls.
Pilots and flight attendants live here for the airport. We book seven days a week from 8am to 8pm, so a TV can go up the morning after a trip or the afternoon before the next.
Houses from the 20s to 50s can have ungrounded outlets or knob-and-tube circuits. We don't plug a new TV into an ungrounded outlet — we'll tell you and suggest an electrician, and hide cables in a raceway meanwhile. Raceway guide.
18,224 homes and about 38,335 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.
44% owner-occupied · 56% rented
U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020–2024 5-year estimates: year built, units in structure, tenure.
The median East Point home dates from 1969, and 34.6% were built before 1960, so plaster over lath and painted trim are routine here; in any house older than 1978 we drill only anchor holes, with dust collection. At the other end, 56.4% of homes are rented and a third sit in buildings of five or more units, which means lease rules, steel or wood studs behind drywall, and raceway rather than opened walls.
The city counts more than 25 neighborhoods, and the walls change faster than the street names. In East Washington and River Park, which grew up beside industrial sites, some houses date to the early 1900s: thick plaster, uneven lath and trim under many coats of paint. Jefferson Park is known for 1940s-era houses, where a stud finder struggles and we confirm each stud with a thin test hole the mount will cover. The red-brick ranches of the 1960s and 70s are mostly drywall on wood studs inside; on a gas-log fireplace wall we run a 15-minute heat test before choosing the height. Downtown, the Lofts of East Point and newer apartment buildings bring steel studs and lease rules. Our guide to finding studs behind plaster and lath explains the old-wall method step by step.

Mykola's route runs from Decatur through the intown neighborhoods to the south side, so East Point sits mid-route and a morning request often gets an afternoon slot. Prices are flat: a 65-inch or 75-inch screen is $129, on 1940s plaster or a loft partition alike, with no charge for the drive. Send three things with your request: a photo of the wall with the outlet in view, the TV size, and where the cable box or console sits. Want the cords gone? From the photo we tell you whether an in-wall run or a raceway suits that wall; our cable concealment page shows both. Unsure how high the screen should sit above a sofa or bed? Try the height tool, then send a request and we will confirm a same-day window when the calendar allows.

Paint far older than 1978, so every anchor hole went through tape with a HEPA vacuum at the bit.

The lease allowed small holes only, so snap-toggles went across two steel studs and the cords into a painted raceway.
