TV Mounting in Miami Beach, FL

Miami Beach is a city of apartments: South Beach Deco walk-ups, 1960s Collins Avenue towers and a few island houses. Here the calendar matters as much as the wall, because city noise rules and condo boards decide when a drill may run. Yevhen, our coastal installer, books a same-day slot inside those hours.

TV mounting in Miami Beach is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for concrete block.

Mounting TVs in Miami Beach Art Deco, condos and island homes

Art Deco buildings around Flamingo Park and Espanola Way are masonry — block or hollow clay tile — finished with thick plaster. Hollow tile has voids that swallow anchors, so we probe for the solid web and use longer sleeve anchors or toggles through the tile. Studs? There are none.

Mid-Beach and North Beach condo towers are concrete with steel-stud partitions. Many were renovated in the 2000s, so the TV wall might be new steel framing in front of the old concrete; we check both depths before drilling.

Venetian Islands, Sunset Islands and La Gorce homes are block exteriors with framed interiors, tall ceilings and often a media room — the easiest walls on the Beach for hidden wiring.

Short-term rentals and hotel-style installs

Miami Beach has more short-term rentals than anywhere else we work. For rental units we use tamper-resistant screws, keep cables in a raceway rather than inside walls, and set the TV at a height that works from the bed and the sofa. Owners get photos and serial numbers for their records.

Condo rules on the Beach

Building managers on Collins Avenue are strict: COI, elevator reservation, work hours and sometimes a floor-protection requirement in the hallway. We handle all of it ahead of time — details in condo and high-rise mounting.

Balcony and pool-deck TVs

Salt air on the Beach is relentless. Outdoor installs get stainless hardware, a sealed cable path and an outdoor-rated screen; see outdoor TVs in Miami.

Homes in Miami Beach by the numbers

What this means for your TV wall

Census figures explain why almost every Beach job starts in a lobby: 65.4% of homes sit in buildings of 20 or more units. That means poured-concrete walls, steel-stud partitions and a building manager in nearly every booking. With 59.1% of homes rented, we also plan for move-out: raceways that come off cleanly and anchor holes small enough to patch. Of all homes, 38.8% were built in 1960–79, old enough that many towers now face milestone inspections.

Drill hours on Miami Beach

Miami Beach's noise code (Sec. 46-156) allows construction noise in residential zones only from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays, never on Sundays or national holidays. A hammer drill biting into a concrete column counts, so every Beach visit is booked inside those windows. Many Collins Avenue and West Avenue associations add stricter hours, and some permit drilling on weekdays only.

DayCity drilling windowWhat we usually book
Monday–Friday8 a.m.–6 p.m.tower condos, large TVs, soundbars
Saturday10 a.m.–4 p.m.Deco walk-ups and island houses, if the building agrees
Sunday, holidaysnoneno drilling

Most single-TV jobs here take about 1 h 30 min, so even a short Saturday window is enough. Send us your building's rules and Yevhen will take the earliest same-day or next-day slot that fits them.

Aging towers, inspections and balconies

Many Beach towers have reached the age Florida's milestone law cares about: condo buildings of three or more habitable stories get a first structural inspection at 30 years, or 25 where salt water justifies it, then one every 10 years. While that process is open, some boards freeze wall openings. Yevhen anchors into the concrete, runs a paintable raceway for $39 and leaves the in-wall route for after the report. In-wall power, later, means a listed power kit, never the TV's own cord.

Spots under an overhang can corrode faster than open ones because rain rarely rinses them, so every balcony TV gets 316 stainless hardware. Inside the Art Deco District, on the National Register since 1979, anything visible from the street may need Historic Preservation Board review, so we start with the association. Sunny Isles Beach towers follow the same routine.

On-site notes from Miami Beach jobs

  • Art Deco plaster can be two inches thick over tile; stud finders read nothing useful, so we test-drill with a small bit first.
  • Many South Beach buildings have no service elevator — for large TVs we plan the stairway carry in advance.
  • Parking is the hardest part of a Miami Beach job; if you have a garage spot or a guest pass, tell us when you book.
  • Renovated condos sometimes hide a steel track at mid-height; we check with a magnet before cutting for in-wall cables.

TV mounting in Miami Beach, FL: common questions

How much does TV mounting cost in Miami Beach?
$119 for a TV up to 60 inches and $129 for 61–85 inches, mounts from $39. No extra charge for plaster, tile or concrete, and no travel fee.
Can you mount a TV on an Art Deco plaster wall?
Yes. We find the solid part of the block or tile behind the plaster and use anchors sized for it — never plastic drywall anchors.
Do you install TVs in short-term rentals?
Yes. Rental installs get tamper-resistant hardware and deposit-safe cable management, and we can work while the unit is between guests.
My Collins Avenue building has strict rules. Can you comply?
Yes. We send the COI, reserve the elevator and work inside the building's hours.
Is same-day available on Miami Beach?
Usually. Parking and building approvals are the only things that slow it down.
Can you mount my TV on a Sunday?
Not with a drill. City code bars construction noise on Sundays and national holidays, and Saturday work must fit between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. We can book a Saturday slot, or the next weekday morning from 8 a.m.
Our tower is in its milestone inspection. Can we still mount?
Usually. Anchoring a bracket into concrete is minor work, but the board decides, so ask the manager first. If openings are paused, we hide the wires in a paintable raceway and plan the in-wall route for later.
How long does a soundbar add on a condo wall?
On steel studs a soundbar adds about 40 minutes, since each snap-toggle takes time; on concrete, about 30. Mounting the bar is $69, and Yevhen gives Atmos models a clear up-firing path to the ceiling.
