Buford is two towns on one map: Main Street houses from the Bona Allen leather years near the railroad, and newer subdivisions like Sandy Creek and Arbors at Richland Creek spreading out from the Mall of Georgia. Roman's crew works this route, so a same-day visit at a flat price is usually one call away.
TV mounting in Buford is flat-rate: $119 up to 60", $129 for 61–85" and from $179 for 86" and larger, plus $40 for each additional TV. Mounts from $39, cables hidden in a raceway for $39 or inside the wall for $69. No travel fee and no surcharge for stone or plaster.
Lake Lanier homes have walk-out basements toward the water, decks and covered docks. Outdoor TVs get outdoor-rated screens, stainless hardware, sealed cable entries and a GFCI outlet. Outdoor TVs.
New subdivisions near the Mall of Georgia are drywall on wood studs with family-room fireplaces and basements. Lag bolts upstairs, masonry anchors on the concrete foundation walls. Concrete walls.
Great rooms facing the lake fight the afternoon sun. We plan a side wall when possible, or use a tilting or full-motion mount ($69) to angle out of the glare. Tilt vs. swivel.
Downtown Buford's restaurants are in old brick buildings. We anchor in the brick faces and run cables in painted raceways ($39) before opening hours.
5,939 homes and about 17,997 residents. The age and type of a home decide what is behind the drywall, so we check this before we quote.

Buford's housing is young: the median home was built in 1996, and 28.9% went up in 2010 or later, mostly drywall over wood studs that we scan and bolt quickly. The exception is the 11.5% built before 1960, many near Main Street, where plaster, old paint and uneven walls call for slower drilling and dust control. Two in three homes are detached, so most of our jobs are family rooms, bonus rooms and basements.
Buford grew around the Bona Allen leather and harness works and its railroad stop, and the 1911 Bona Allen House and the John Quincy Allen House still stand, both listed on the National Register. Older houses near them usually have plaster on wood lath. Studs behind plaster are hard to find, so Roman confirms framing with a small test hole the plate will hide, drills with the hammer off and keeps a vacuum at the bit, since paint older than 1978 is likely. Builders are also putting new homes within about two blocks of Main Street, so the house next door may be fresh drywall and a one-hour job. For hidden cords in plaster, see cable concealment: we often keep power on the existing outlet and pass only the HDMI through a low-voltage plate. Tell us the year built when you book.

Most of our Buford calls come from the subdivisions ringing the Mall of Georgia: Sandy Creek, with homes from around 2006, Parkside Landing, Woodward Crossing and the new Ashton Woods houses at Arbors at Richland Creek. Many have a gas fireplace faced in stacked-stone veneer, with the builder's TV outlet set high above it. On a fireplace TV, Roman runs a 15-minute burn first, scans for the gas pipe and anchors through the veneer into framing, never into the stone alone. A 75-inch on studs is $129; an in-wall run with a listed power kit is $69. Near The Exchange, the proposed 300-unit Autry at Tulip Grove would bring more renters; where a lease rules out opening walls, we use paintable raceway. Buford straddles Gwinnett and Hall, so if an electrician adds an outlet, confirm who issues the permit.
